There’s no doubt that investing in HMOs is a gateway to doing other things in the property industry - the cash flow that we can generate, the fact that it is such a robust model gives us a huge amount of confidence and the ability to develop other types of property. And for many of us, that is commercial property.

There’s no doubt that the running energy costs of your HMOs have gone up. So you might be wondering, what do you need to do and how will this affect the future of your HMOs?

Realistically, there’s not a lot we can do about the rising energy costs but we can definitely put some mechanisms in place to help reduce consumption by managing the use of utilities wherever possible. So in this short episode, I’m sharing with you this simple solution that we use to manage energy costs.

Are you managing your tenants on WhatsApp? Well, if you are then I bet you feel like you can never switch off and I bet you're cursing investing in HMOs in the first place. I remember what it was like and it’s really hard work but don’t worry, there are other ways of doing this.
