Craig is joined by former Virginia Tech and current Kentucky head coach Kenny Brooks to talk about Mystics first-round pick Georgia Amoore. Brooks shares when he first realized Amoore was a special talent, including a memorable and challenging trip to Belarus that solidified her impact. He calls her a “humble superstar” and gives a heartfelt breakdown of who she is as both a player and person. Brooks offers a detailed scouting report, praising her court vision, leadership, and grit: “If you measure her height, you need to measure her heart.” Before wrapping, Brooks also weighs in on Sonia Citron, another Mystics first-rounder, and delivers a bold statement: “She is every bit as good as Paige Bueckers.”

Following the conclusion of the WNBA Draft, Craig reacts to Mystics head coach Jamila Wideman’s press conference where she outlined her approach heading into the night. Wideman shares insight on what Mystics fans can expect from the team’s three first-round rookies and provides her vision for how Kiki Iriafen, Shakira Austin, and Aaliyah Edwards will coexist in a crowded but talented frontcourt. Craig dives into her comments and gives his take on how the pieces fit together and what it means for the Mystics’ identity heading into the 2025 season.

From 'Take Command' (subscribe here): Craig Hoffman and guest co-host John Keim kick off the mailbag by exploring the impact a seasoned QB3 like Josh Johnson can have on a young team. Then, the guys project how WR Luke McCaffrey could fit into the Commanders’ offense this season.

Craig and Christy Winters-Scott take a step back from the 2025 WNBA Draft to examine the broader landscape of the league's financial and structural evolution. They discuss the implications of the WNBA's new 11-year, $2.2 billion media rights deal set to begin in 2026, and how this influx of revenue could influence the upcoming collective bargaining agreement negotiations. With the current CBA expiring at the end of the 2025 season, players are advocating for a more equitable share of league revenues.

Craig and Christy Winters-Scott dive into the NBA Playoffs and discuss just how wide open the Western Conference is this year. The Thunder have been the favorites all season, but they now believe several teams have a legitimate shot at making it out of the West. The duo also breaks down the first-round matchups and shares which series they’re most excited to watch as the postseason gets underway.
