Colin and Tyler start the show discussing current sermon materials; then dive into self-made theories surrounding the recently released Star Wars: Last Jedi trailer; Colin is stoked about the new Black Panther trailer; Tyler shares briefly some of his initial reflections about the new Blade Runner 20149 movie; Tyler takes a deep, deep dive into his running anime recommendations - good grief. Colin and Tyler laugh about their respective, lovely wives taking their sweet time showing up for worship on Sunday; discuss the pro's and con's of providing "green rooms" for worship band members; share sermon tid-bits; Colin shared his experience at Leadership Institute 2017 at Church of the Resurrection; Tyler talks about the writing behind the recent Spiderman: Homecoming and how that translates to sermon writing and the task of talking about characters of the Bible; touch on their excitement for the new Blade Runner movie; Colin shares his horror story about a smelly bathroom surprise; and finish up talking about teaching technology competencies.

A combination of hurricanes and retreats put Colin and Tyler in spiral. But they jump back into discussions on previous, current, and upcoming sermons; witnessed the hype (and a little bit of a let down) of another Apple Keynote; Tyler went taste-testing for wings at American Deli; try to wade and dig through Taylor Swift's current pop evolution having listened to her newest single, "Look at What You Made Me Do;" and the boys finish up by discussing feedback from one of their listeners!

Colin and Tyler exchange Monday highlights, in particular Tyler yells "shake em" in front of 25 pre school moms - cool. They also exchange recent nuggets from their respective sermons and swap less-than exciting solar eclipse stories. Colin and Tyler can't believe they were unaware of the ATL craze of lemon pepper wings. Tyler begins to dig into the comic book world by catching up on the backstory behind Thanos for the upcoming Marvel movies. Both boys nerd out and crush hard on Adam Driver and his web of recent movie releases. Colin and Tyler round out the show by talking through recent music discoveries while throwing back to some old school Christian bands.

Colin and Tyler spend a good amount of time talking about procrastination, motivation, and not doing what you're supposed and couple it with a tongue-in-cheek commentary on sabbath but quickly shifts into a deeper and more faithful discussion on the topic - They both kind of blow each other's mind and then sing a song about it. Tyler brings up "calling" in the life of ministry which shifts into discussion about the anticipated "spiritual" experience of an upcoming live McElroy show. Tyler schemes to attend despite a scheduling conflict and Colin comments on how he's been consuming more Griffin McElroy digital products, i.e. Car Boys. Colin talks Twin Peaks and other philosophy things, including some systematic soundbites from Colin's favorite professor, Ian McFarland - where you at Ian??  Tyler concludes by featuring their new Patreon page to help support the podcast.

Tyler actually started doing smarthome stuff - balancing not blowing up his house and blowing his son's mind. Colin touches on worship set inspirations. Both talk about their weekly schedules, delegation, and leadership succession. Also old people farts = the wisdom of our elders. (FYI Colin was in debate in high school). Tyler talks about opportunity cost and Colin discusses scripture memorization/recall.
