Colin and Tyler catch up after Tyler returns from his beach retreat. Tyler highlights his beach life mishaps resulting in new Apple gadgets. Tyler also rehashes some good good nuggets from his Pastor School experience. Colin and Tyler recap some of their favorite Star Wars and Comic Con moments. They continue by diving into their respective, recent sermon series and practices while while concluding by trying out a new sign-off catch phrase...that doesn't really work.

We back! We appreciate everyone's patience and willingness to reach out and check on us. We're good, we've just been busy CRUSHING IT. Colin and Tyler learned so much by going to the ReThink Leadership Conference that we've been busy with the one take away for pastors - you should be CRUSHING IT. Colin and Tyler recap what's happened the past 3 months highlighting Colin's ordination (and how the United Methodist process still confuses people),  collective preaching hiatus, developmental opportunities, pastor changes, and more! We spent more time on conference take-aways, reflections, and stories...including when Tyler almost stole $800 worth of merchandise!

Holy Week is upon us! Colin and Tyler talk about the awkwardness of washing people's feet for Maundy Thursday; the struggle of finding small group leaders for leading discipleship discussions; discuss aspects of and how to foster "worship excellence" in their respective services; a new Kendrick song and video arrives for us to devour; more Marvel talk with the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok movie; and end on sermon recaps.

Colin has a new hobby...he's all about that tennis time - Serena! Also, Colin and Tyler talk about that time when Colin got hit by a car, which launches them into a full blown discussion about their respective regiments for their mind, body, and spirit. Interspersed are talks about shitty clip-art newsletter emails, lack of office outlets, meditation practices, and, of course, more sermonizing details and preaching points.

Colin and Tyler talk about getting married at Taco Bell...because that's totally a thing; Tyler tells a hilarious story about his son - one word: "chip-face;" the boys continue talking about preaching and Colin's approval for ordination = awesome-sauce. Colin and Tyler talk about church shit leading up to Lent; highlight some new books they're reading, especially church planting things; what they should blow their continuing education fund on - answer: Apple stuff; Tyler's visit to Boston; watching Shark Tank; working on our meditation/prayer chops; furthering our development with sermon prep; and a conversation about creativity.

Colin and Tyler begin talking about church-life and how to develop connections through small groups. They discuss recent sermon topics as well as upcoming Lenten series ideas. Of course, they talk at length about the recent reveal of the Star Wars - Episode VIII title, "The Last Jedi." They go on to feature more upcoming movies but particularly discuss how directing and cinema story-telling has similarities with preaching.​

Colin and Tyler discuss 2016 and hopes of 2017. Their conversation together is often interrupted because of Tyler's beer-burps and their collective absent-mindedness of using people's names that they shouldn't - hence the bleeps. Other discussion topics include crappy church websites, 2016 pop culture hit list, and new tips and tools to help them achieve 2017 goals.

Colin and Tyler discuss Christmas Eve sermons, the incarnation of liturgy, Star Wars: Rogue One (of course), and other blockbuster hits, all while ending with the celebration of Childish's Gambino's new album, "Awaken, My Love."
