Dylan opens up with some Hawks talk as they defeated the Detroit Pistons in their first playin tournament game, minus Trae Young , who was out due to the birth of his second child. Dejounte Murray led the way with 32 points, 10 assist and three steals and Dylan adds that that is the type of performance that proves why the Hawks needed to go out and get a player like Murray because when Young is out, Murray can lead the charge.

Dylan opens up with some Atlanta Falcons talk and brings up the fact that many fans of the team are not happy with Arthur Smith, to which Dylan states that he understands why they may not be, especially when looking at his play calling in the red zone among other things. Dylan adds that despite the frustrations surrounding the Falcons, he does not believe Smith is in the hot seat as they are still in a good position in the division.

Dylan opens up on Falcons talk as he reacts to their 25-22 loss to the Cardinals and said he like he was having Déjà vu seeing Kyler Murray return for the first time since his injury and running around making big plays late in the game, similar to how Josh Dobbs did a week ago. Dylan adds that there were too many plays by Murray that the Falcons’ defense just can’t let happen and wonders how the team will fix things moving forward and the team has to “learn how to finish better”.

Dylan opens up with some Falcons talk and as they get set to take on Arizona this Sunday, he states that he just wants to see Atlanta “get back to basics” on the offensive side of the ball. Dylan adds that defensively, the Cardinals are ranked 26th in run defense and the Falcons need to take advantage of the and “run the ball down their throats” with Allgeier, Patterson, and Robinson.

Dylan opens up with some Falcons talk as he shares his thoughts on Arthur Smith’s comments from his interview with Dukes and Bell and one response Smith in particular that Dylan said he took issue with were in regards to some of his play calling in the red zone being “too cute”. Dylan then says that he believes that the Falcons need to stick to the basics, especially in the red zone, versus trying to be too gimmicky and costing the team a score.

Dylan opens up the show with some Atlanta United talk with a recap of their 4-2 win over Columbus Crew to force a third leg of the first round series of the MLS playoffs. Dylan states that he believed that United had a good chance of winning last night as they had Thiago Almada back from his yellow card suspension and playing at home. And now that the two clubs will head back to Columbus, Dylan believes that all the pressure is on the Crew.

Dylan opens up with Falcons talk and the announcement that Taylor Heinicke will be the starter this week when they face the Cardinals and Dylan believes that Heinicke may end up QB1 the remainder of the season, especially if his performance on Sunday is better than this past week and leads to a victory. Dylan adds that should Heinicke end up as the starter for the rest of the season, he believes that would put the Falcons back in the business for looking for their quarterback of the future.

Dylan opens up and gets right into the Falcons loss to the Vikings and ask “what was that…what did we witness?” He adds that in his opinion, the loss was a result of sloppy play and failure to take advantage of opportunities and could not finish in the red zone. He adds that while the defense did give have its bright spots, when it came down to it, they displayed poor tackling late in the game on the eventual game winning drive of the Vikings and that overall, Sunday’s loss was simply “frustrating”.

Dylan opens up discussing the announcement by Arthur Smith that Taylor Heinicke will be the starter for the Falcons on Sunday when they face the Vikings. Dylan notes that while making the announcement, Smith stresses “this week” leading him to believe that the head coach is leaving room to be able to go back to Desmond Ridder should Heinicke not perform well on Sunday. 

Dylan opens up with his thoughts on the CFB Playoff rankings which released the first standings yesterday with 1. Ohio St. 2. Georgia 3. Michigan 4. Florida St. and Dylan states that he has no problem with the first rankings and believes the committee “got it right”. Dylan adds that he does not have a problem with Georgia being at No. 2 mainly due to their strength of schedule to this point and believes the Dawgs are in the driver’s seat and will run the table.
