Happy Wednesday honest tribe! I can't believe that we're already on part 3 of our anxiety series. Like we mentioned last episode, May is Mental Health Month so this series could not have come at a better time. Today on this episode of The Honest Truth, we're digging into situational anxiety, our personal experiences with it, the things that have helped us and the things that we continue to practice daily. This type of anxiety is one that Harr & I can really identify with, so if you yourself have experience with situational anxiety, we hear you, we feel you, and we are absolutely here for you. No matter what type of anxiety you can identify with, it is something that you will always carry with you. Just remember to always be gentle on yourself, control what YOU can control & listen to your emotions.

Yo... Did Y'all know May is Mental Health Awareness Month? Initially, when we started this series we honestly had no idea until this episode (part 2), but I am SO glad we are dropping this series in a month that is so laser-focused on bringing awareness to topics such as this. First and foremost, social anxiety should not be confused as "shyness". Yes, this may be a characteristic that one has that is living with this disorder, but that is not even close to what this disorder encompasses. Today on this episode of The Honest Truth, we dig into what social anxiety is, our personal experiences with it, the things that can cause it, and a couple of things that we believe will help you if you yourself are one that suffers from this type of anxiety.

Welcome to our anxiety series, Honest Tribe! We are so excited to dig into this series with you all as we both hold this topic very near and dear to our hearts. Like many of you, Harr & I have experienced (& still experience) anxiety. What's beautiful about this not so beautiful disorder, is that many of us can identify with it, and stand by one another when it comes to this topic. In part one of this series, we are really just scraping the surface and laying down the foundation on what's to come. Today we touch on some of the causes, our personal experiences and the types of anxiety that we are going to cover throughout the series. These are types that not only we can we identify with, but that you can identify with too.

In order to even scratch the surface of this, you're going to have to start practicing one thing... stop comparing yourself to others. If you've tuned into our last couple of episodes, you'll be a little familiar with what she's about as I've had her on as a guest. And before y' all start to speculate NO, we are not breaking up, we are still sisters and support one another, no matter what. Throughout our episodes, Jen & I have said countlessly how for many things, the beginning of the equation begins with you. You have to fill up your own tank. You have to constantly practice self-care and self-love, always. This is exactly what Jen is going to do. In this episode, she digs into what season she is in her life right now, and how more than ever, it's time for her to really fill up her own tank. It's not a goodbye, it's a see you later, sis.
