Just when you thought that postseason basketball could not get any more fun than the NBA Finals, the WNBA Finals have been a treat to watch in their own right.
With the series in hand as former league MVP Breanna Stewart and the Seattle Storm lead the series against the 2020 WNBA MVP A'ja Wilson and the Las Vegas Aces, it all comes down to Game 3! The trio of Stewart, Sue Bird and Jewell Loyd have been on fire in this series and have won by 13 points in both games.
The Storm are in pursuit of the franchise's fourth title while A'ja Wilson and the Aces look to push the series to a Game 4 and hopefully keeping the trend going of being the third MVP in the last three seasons to win both the MVP and the championship in the same season.
On this edition of the Hoop Talk Podcast, Jay and Ryan breakdown the matchups and key players in the series and make their picks for Game 3!
Do the guys think the Storm will finish things off tonight or we the Aces hold on just a little longer and push the series to a Game 4?
Only one way to find out! Stay Tuned!
After a historic performance by star Miami Heat guard Jimmy Butler, the series is notched up at 2-1 as the Lakers lead the series heading into Game 4.
The first 3 games of the series have been exciting and have taught us more about the make up of these teams than we ever knew before. For the Lakers, it's plain and simple: Anthony Davis has to be the best player on the floor for LA to win.
With the Heat missing Goran Dragic for the rest of the series and Bam Adebayo coming back for Game 4 after missing the last two games with a neck/back injury, the Heat only as strong as their leader in Butler but Adebayo is the player who truly puts them over the top.
On this edition of the Hoop Talk Podcast, the fellas discuss the some of the primetime players and matchups in this series while breaking down the needs for both teams going into a pivotal Game 4!
Tip-Off is right around the corner! Stay Tuned!
With the NBA Draft just over a month away, the 2020 NBA Lottery has been set and the draft order is officially locked in. With that, each team prepares for October as some of the best college and overseas prospects all await that fateful day in hopes of hearing their name called by Commissioner Adam Silver.
In this edition of the Hoop Talk Podcast, the guys take a look at the Houston Rockets. Although the Rocket do not have a single draft pick this year, they do have the opportunity to buy a cheap 2nd round pick or even find a gem in Undrafted free agency. Just in the NBA Finals alone, players like Duncan Robinson and Kendrick Nunn both went undrafted and both ended up being phenomenal contributors for the Heat this year in their rookie season.
Houston is need of the next Robinson or Nunn as they look to re-tool after losing their head coach Mike D'Antoni and the team falling short once again by losing to the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2nd round of the Playoffs.
Who are some potential projected 2nd rounders or undrafted free agent prospects who could provide a spark for this desperate Rockets team?
The guys discuss this and more! Stay Tuned

In this edition of the Hoop Talk Podcast, the guys take a look at the Golden State Warriors. As if the Warriors needed any help getting back into the championship discussion next season, the NBA draft adds the 2nd overall pick to Golden State’s litany of weapons.
Alongside the dynamic backcourt duo of Steph Curry and Klay Thompson with the Swiss army knife Draymond Green in the frontcourt, the Warriors have the chance to add a top tier talent like Lamelo Ball, James Wiseman, Deni Avdija and others.
Golden State also has the 48th and 51st overall picks in the 2nd round which looks good for them considering that’s where they got guys like Green and their budding rookie forward Eric Paschall who made 1st team all-rookie over Lottery picks like R.J. Barrett and Rui Hachimura.
This team has a lot of options which means Jay and Ryan have a lot to unpack! Who do the guys think the Warriors will select with their top-3 pick? Stay Tuned

In this edition of the Hoop Talk Podcast, the guys take a look at the Detroit Pistons.
This Detroit team is in dire need of talent and has a ton of questions to answer this offseason. With former All-Star Blake Griffin and young shooting guard Luke Kennard both in potential trade talks, the direction of this team is up in the air and they desperately need a spark to help turn this franchise around.
The Pistons have only have the 7th overall pick, but they also have potential trade chips that could attract a team like the Boston Celtics who have multiple 1st round picks in the 2020 draft.
Do the Pistons work out a deal to move Griffin for a few of the Celtics picks? Who should Detroit select with the 7th pick to help start building this team?
We answer all these questions and more! Stay Tuned!

In this edition of the Hoop Talk Podcast, the guys take a look at the Denver Nuggets. After what has been an amazing and historical postseason run by the Nuggets, Denver is forced to go back to the drawing board after falling to LeBron James and the Lakers in the Western Conference Finals.
This team is on the rise and will continue to be a threat atop the West, but they do have some holes that need to be filled if they look to make another run at the chip next season.
The Nuggets only have the 22nd overall pick in this year’s draft but Denver has had a track record of taking a swing on questionable prospects and developing them in a way that brings out glimpses of their maximum potential.
To put it plain and simple, the Nuggets are thin in the backcourt so its only their luck that they have a late first round pick in an extremely guard heavy draft which plays in their favor. Who do the guys think will be Denver’s next “Michael Porter Jr.”? Stay Tuned!

In this edition of the Hoop Talk Podcast, the guys take a look at the Dallas Mavericks. Despite being bumped out of the 1st Round of the Western Conference Finals by the LA Clippers, Luka Doncic and the Mavs have a lot of positives to take away from this season, but if they want to become perennial playoff contenders then they still have a lot of improving to do.
Dallas only has the 18th overall pick which means that they will need to scout for a “diamond in the ruff” prospect who has the potential to be a Day 1 contributor. Who do the guys think the Mavs should pick to go alongside the dynamic duo of Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis? Stay Tuned!
