In a late night conversation in Kansas, Rachael and Kindra record a heartfelt show as they catch up on all that happened in the year since Kindra moved from Colorado to Kansas with her family.
Looking in, it's clear that these two women have a special bond that goes beyond friendship. They met while living in Colorado and quickly became close while leading the Mothers of Preschoolers group at their church. In all the challenges of being moms and leaders, they found humor, warmth and solace in each other's company. When Rachael's husband, Micah, died, Kindra walked the intimate and messy road right beside her.
When her friend decided to make a cross-country move to Kansas, Rachael was initially concerned about what it would mean for their friendship. However, distance couldn't diminish the love and support they have for each other.
Since the move, they've continued to walk through life's ups and downs. From job changes to family drama, they've been each other's sounding board and support system. Rachael talks with Kindra about how her friend has thrived in her new home, started nursing school and grown as a person through the stress and challenge of transition.
Rachael and Kindra's friendship is an inspiring story of how friendship endures in difficult times when both people are willing to fight for each other. Even though they can't be together in person as often as they used to be, when they are together it feels like no time has passed.
Be encouraged through these friends' willingness to be authentic in the "beautiful hard" places of life while finding laughter in the spaces of their stories.
