Seyi Olusanya is an Executive Art Director based in Lagos, Nigeria. He is skilled in various disciplines and deeply passionate about the interplay between African culture and identity.

As co-founder of Dá Design Studio, Seyi led multiple teams on branding and type design projects across various sectors, collaborating with acclaimed local and international studios and talent.

He now works as a freelancer and leads design at Afrotype, a type foundry that creates typefaces inspired by African history and contemporary culture. In his spare time, he travels to observe and study different design forms wherever he goes.

In this episode, Seyi shares his journey from being an upcoming designer to co-founding one of the top design agencies in Africa. He shares his passion for Typography, experience working with Pentagram, the learnings, vulnerability in design, and the decision to close Da Design.

Niyi Okeowo is a multidisciplinary creative whose work encompasses art direction, graphic design, 3D, animation, VR, photography, and branding. With nearly ten years of experience, he has crafted unique experiences, brand identities, and visuals for high-profile clients such as Adobe, Empire, Universal Music Group, Chivas, Smirnoff, Uber, and LVMH.

His work has been featured in outlets like Okay Africa, Dazed Magazine, Fubiz, Print Mag, African Digital Art Magazine, and The Guardian. At Thrill Digital, Niyi led design and art direction, spearheading the brand identity for Astraverse, an innovative metaverse experience enabling users to shop and play in VR with avatars, with real-life delivery of their outfits. Previously, he held the role of Head of Brand at Brass in Lagos, Nigeria.

Beyond client projects, Niyi enjoys traveling and exploring creative experiments at his studio, The Sunflower Department. In 2021, he was a nominee for the Future Awards Africa Prize for Art & Literature in its 16th edition, recognized alongside other exceptional creatives.
