As a Brand Identity Designer, Founder of Geneza Brands, and the visionary behind The Female Designer Movement (now Azari Women in Tech), Bolanle has dedicated her career to helping brands tell compelling stories while equipping women with design skills to thrive in the tech ecosystem.  

From being featured on BBC Pidgin, Business Day, and Channels TV to serving as a UN Women delegate for CSW67, Bolanle’s impact is undeniable. She has provided free training to over 7,000 women, won the Tech Elle Award 2023, and is a 2024 finalist for the Bupa Everywoman in Technology Awards (Tech for Good category).

Popularly known for his Bini Art illustrations and paintings, Osaze Amadasun is an illustrator and designer currently living and working in Lagos, Nigeria. His work cuts across drawing, painting, illustration, and Graphic design. 

He was trained formally as an Architect, graduating with a BSc. in Architecture and a Master's Degree in Environmental Design, both from the University of Lagos, Nigeria. During his Architecture program, he was introduced to the concepts of design-thinking and computer-aided design (CAD) which he integrates into his day-to-day creative workflow. 

Osaze’s works reflect the diverse cultures of his environment, and he shows a keen interest in documenting and storytelling through his art. He explores both traditional and digital media to create his art, and his works have been featured in several exhibitions and publications locally and internationally.

In this episode of The Hungry Creative Podcast, host Mo’ sits down with Osaze to explore his fascinating journey from architecture to becoming a full-time creative.

Growing up in Benin, Nigeria, Osaze’s artistic journey began when he won a competition back in 1999. Since then, his work has been deeply inspired by Bini art, blending cultural narratives with contemporary practices.

Kayode Atunrase is an Architect with a Bachelor's and Master's in Architecture from the University of Lagos, where he served as President of the Society of Architecture Students and led many social causes for the empowerment of students within the department.

He's also a fashion designer and founder of KNF Couture, a business focused on Indigenous male Nigerian fashion & decolonising African fashion as a whole. 

Passionate about community development, entrepreneurship, and cultural heritage, Kayode's innovative approach redefines the intersection of Architecture, Craft, Culture, and Business.

Seyi Olusanya is an Executive Art Director based in Lagos, Nigeria. He is skilled in various disciplines and deeply passionate about the interplay between African culture and identity.

As co-founder of Dá Design Studio, Seyi led multiple teams on branding and type design projects across various sectors, collaborating with acclaimed local and international studios and talent.

He now works as a freelancer and leads design at Afrotype, a type foundry that creates typefaces inspired by African history and contemporary culture. In his spare time, he travels to observe and study different design forms wherever he goes.

His work has been featured in outlets like Okay Africa, Dazed Magazine, Fubiz, Print Mag, African Digital Art Magazine, and The Guardian. At Thrill Digital, Niyi led design and art direction, spearheading the brand identity for Astraverse, an innovative metaverse experience enabling users to shop and play in VR with avatars, with real-life delivery of their outfits. Previously, he held the role of Head of Brand at Brass in Lagos, Nigeria.

Beyond client projects, Niyi enjoys traveling and exploring creative experiments at his studio, The Sunflower Department. In 2021, he was a nominee for the Future Awards Africa Prize for Art & Literature in its 16th edition, recognized alongside other exceptional creatives.
