Although her company is relatively new, close to 3 years on the market, her flagship product BCRx has garnered over $4 million dollars in sales. On today’s podcast, I am joined by the founders of East Meets Dress, Vivian Chan and Jennifer Qiao. East Meets Dress is a very interesting company. They are dedicated to bringing more transparency, quality and customization to cheongsam dress shopping.
A bit of a backstory of the company, while planning her wedding, Jenn struggled to find cheongsam outfits and tea ceremony supplies that were designed with the modern Chinese American woman in mind. The choices seemed to be dealing with sketchy sellers on Alibaba or impatient grannies in Chinatown. She found it hard to celebrate her Asian roots without compromising quality and style. That’s when she decided to start East Meets Dress with her best friend Vivian.
Hustlers nation, it’s an interesting one so stay tuned to the end of the episode to find out more about Jenn, Vivian and East Meets Dress.

He’s exited two businesses. The first one, a network of affiliate website in the online poker space, the second was an eCommerce project motocrossgear.com - that was acquired by revzilla.com and merged into their current store. For those of you who don’t know, Revzilla is one of the top motocross gear eCommerce websites in the world with more than 4 million visits to their website each month.
That’s apparently still isn’t enough for John. He started another business called noexam.com in 2013 - No Exam is a digital life insurance brokerage. It started off as a traditional insurance agency, but over the last few years they’ve been doing more affiliate marketing and lead generation for the insurance industry.

Today, I am joined by Brittany Finkle, Founder & CEO of an eCommerce startup called Happily Ever Borrowed, a luxury eCommerce site offering rentable bridal accessories so couples don’t have to go broke for their dream wedding. On today's episode, I have Wednesday & Sky from Two People Studio joining me. These two motion designer love birds are also business partners. Coming from full-time backgrounds, they decided they wanted to run the show and express their creativity in their own terms.
The company was incorporated in 2015 by both of them, wanting to express their passion for design and everything that's fun. From the conversation we had, it sounds like they didn't expect their company to grow bigger (hence the name Two People Studio - they now have a team helping them out). Their mission is to create a healthy community of motion designers that help each other out, promote professionalism in the industry and pool resources to achieve bigger, better things.
I must say this was an interesting episode about the state of the motion design and animation industry in negaraku Malaysia.
