  • What is actually underneath your Craving?
People are funny. We want to feel good. We don't want to feel bad. So when we start to feel bad we sometimes resort to covering up or distracting ourselves away from those feelings. We do this in a number of ways-- food, drugs, alcohol, sex, shopping, wroking too much...
When we address our needs with a substance or behavior, we are missing out on really discovering what is going on underneath. In this episode, I am going to give you my "cravings" patter that I use to help clients identify what is REALLY going on and to find another way to address their needs.

  • Shifting Depression in Hypnosis with the Mind Body Connection
Depression can be a challenging issue to address. In this episode I am going to give you several ideas for how to work with depression using the mind body connection and neuroplasticity.
These techniques work best in hypnosis because we are accessing the subconscious mind which is the part of the mind that manages emotion.
However, they can be used by laypeople without the benefit of hypnosis. So, if you are working with people with hypnosis or not or if YOU struggle with depression, this show is for you

  • The Rebellion pattern in clients-- and how to address it
I have seen an interesting pattern over the years where a client very much wants to accomplish what they are coming to see me for--but to do so would mean losing face with a family member or loved one.
For example, a client with a fear of driving is told that she should just get over it, that she has been able to drive before so she should be able to drive again. This creates a challenge when working with this client because if she lets go of her fear she is, in a sense, saying they were right-- it WAS no big deal.
How can you break this pattern so the client gets results without losing face? That is the topic of this week's show

  • Grieving-- PART 2
In this episode I will be interviewing Eshu Martin about the process of grief.
Eshu has been a Zen priest for nearly 20 years and has been Abbot at Zen West Buddhist Society since 2004. He is also the spiritual Health Coordinator  for Victoria Hospice.
Eshu is a thoughtful, insightful man and I cannot wait to pick his brain as to how we can support people who are grieving.
