In Chapter 9 we learn how Bruce Ohr a former Associate Deputy Attorney General at the Department of Justice maintained secret communications with Christopher Steele after Steele was fired as an FBI source.   We also learn that Ohr's wife worked for Fusion GPS who commissioned Christopher Steele to create the Steele Dossier which contained the fake information that allowed the FBI to monitor and secretly record members of the Trump election team during the campaign.  It is also revealed  that Bruce Ohr also had an an ongoing relationship with Fusion GPS founder Glenn Simpson.   According to Steele, he and Ohr also discussed Steele's concerns about a potential Trump victory.  Chapter 9 also reveals how Ohr downplayed his connections with Steele  when he was talking to Rod Rosenstein, the Deputy Attorney General - who said he was "shocked" when the full details emerged.
