In Psalm 67, the psalmist riffs off the Aaronic Blessing of Numbers 6 and works into this Psalm. The difference is that this blessing is now for the nations. 

Being transformed by the way we think means we see each other differently and we see ourselves differently. That is Paul's warning in the first 12 chapters of Romans 8 - you are a part of the body of Christ, you have a gift to serve with, and no one is better than anyone else!

The author of Hebrews admonishes his audience to hold on to things that are eternal.

Jesus gives gifts to his church so that the body of Christ may be equipped and grow to be mature. 

The Psalmist relates God's great acts of redemption in the past. God has been faithful through many trials and tribulations. Even though we struggle through tears and pain in this life, God will bring us to a place of abundance. 

We can be tricked into thinking that idol worship isn't a temptation for us like it was for the Israelites. While our idol worship doesn't require graven images or statues, what really matters is what do I value most in my life? Because what we value most can easily become our idol.

God calls Moses to the mountain.

God's people who have come through the persecution stand victorious with the Lamb on Mt. Zion. 

David's own countrymen have betrayed him to King Saul. In this time of betrayal David turns to the LORD for help. 

The numbers don't lie: people are less and less interested in church/God/Jesus. But they? Why do they find something that was once so irresistible now totally resistible? Perhaps it's more our fault than anything else.
