The predictions about the current initiatives from the White House range wildly from a Ronald Reagan type outcome where the short term disruption results in a leaner more efficient government with better fiscal balance and a period of renewed economic prosperity. The other predictions point to a Jimmy Carter style disruption that results in stagflation. The arguments for each can be convincing.
