You must know who you truly are if you want to succeed. To achieve the life you are visualizing for yourself, you must fully embody who you really are partnered with God. You may not be aware of who you truly are right now, but if you are open to listening to God's messages, you will be able to discover the true purpose of your life. You don't have to know your true identity as long as you are open to the possibilities that lie ahead.

You deserve to find your true self so you can succeed in your life.

She shows us faith-based business techniques that can give you an authority in your business and life. 

How do you define authority in your business? It is being vulnerable enough to share what you have been through and allow God to walk with you through it. The key is showing up and sharing from the heart, not faking it until you make it. It involves sharing the radical work created in partnership with God behind the scenes. 

To step into true authority over your life and business, you must be willing to let some things die. People-pleasing, playing safe by playing small, and believing in your broke money mindset are all examples of the things we must put to rest. To change your life, you must look at the state of your actions and walk boldly with God. She is stepping into a season of combining the things she is good at, with her own experiences, and God's guidance.

Building a business requires faith. This means taking action. Although God can bless you in an instant, miracles are more likely to occur for those who are moving.

What exactly is a niche? Rather than give you the runaround, I will break it down into simple terms so that all of us can understand how important it is to our business. For you multi-passionate entrepreneurs, I am sharing a sneak peek at a live training I conducted last week for my social retail company. 

I'm answering all questions, including "can I have multiple niches?". No. When you have too many focuses on one account, you confuse your audience, especially if your products or services are different. Contradiction leads to confusion, and confusion does not lead to customers. It leads to an expensive hobby. 

How does a niche differ from an industry? The niche of your account is a topic you choose to focus on. The majority of accounts that I look at, whether they be my private clients, 60-minute strategy sessions, training, or teachings like this, or even in my DMS when people send me their account to be reviewed, I have difficulty identifying their niche. This prevents them from growing, which is always what people want.

You need to find a niche if you want to make money online. Take notes during this episode. You'll probably have to listen to this one again. Niche is where the riches are. Let's get started.

An entrepreneur's life is like a rollercoaster, it has its ups and downs. The rewards are incredible, but it isn't for the faint of heart. My guest today is Heather Simpson, founder, and director of She Leads Me. A business consultant and growth strategist, she opened the doors of a beautiful coworking location for women business owners called The Her Connection Hub. 

Today we are having a real raw conversation about her journey and expertise in creating a wildly successful business.  In order to be successful as a business owner, Heather believes you should have these three characteristics. Let's explore them now. 

The first step is to build a community around yourself. You need the right people in your corner to bounce ideas off of in a safe space that helps you see your situation. When we look at one of those funhouse mirrors, the reality is often distorted, which is why it's important to have a community that actually reflects your perspective. We don't see the clear reality of who we are and how we show up in the world or what impact we are having. So, we need to surround ourselves with honest truth-tellers who can help us reflect on who we are and what we're doing accurately so that we can take their feedback.

Secondly, I would hire a business coach. Even before you hire your first help, make that investment in an aligned coach your first priority. Even though you can help other people see things so clearly in their business, we cannot see the same things for ourselves.

It was once said that the world's best hairdressers get flown around the world to do other people's hair. Unfortunately, they hit a blind spot when cutting their own hair. You must have people who can guide you, coach you along the way, and point out your blind spots. That might cost you more money or time now, but in the long run, we'll save you a lot of pain and help you avoid some big mistakes.

A third thing: recognizing when you are self-doubting. Any advice that you hear from your family, your partner, or anyone in your circle is coming from a place of trying to keep you safe. That is not always the advice we should take. 

We can recognize that in ourselves. We need to acknowledge ourselves and our beliefs. This is another reason why it is so important to have a coach or someone outside your inner circle to help you back in. You need that outside perspective.

Content Strategy

Among the questions I get the most, is how much time you need to spend on Instagram to see results in your business. The key is to be consistent. What works for you? That is the key to sharing content successfully. What your audience can rely on. Since I'm a giver, I also shared my own content schedule with you.

What are the emotions behind dependability? Trust.  People buy from people they can trust. People are drawn to people who are doing good things. As a follower, we are engaged in activities that are helpful for them and following people that are doing things. 

My ideal content schedule: Post 6-12 stories every day. Post 3-5 Reels a week. 1 Instagram Live a week. Static posts 4 times a week.

Instagram Hashtag Strategy

What is my hashtag strategy?  Use niche hashtags instead of big hashtags. How do we determine what a big popular hashtag is? The hashtag has been used millions and millions of times. You want to be a big fish in a small pond. Not a little fish in a big pond. Therefore, using popular hashtags is counterintuitive.

Instagram Features

Instagram came out with some new features, again. Instagram Subscriptions, NFT, and templates for Reels.  It's hard to keep up with all the changes but they can be so helpful. I feel bad for Texas which no longer allows for some of the filters to be used.

Food is loved by everyone, it's such a vital part of our lives. I'm joined today by Siiri Sampson, a Seattle, Washington native with a passion for food. Bur her journey did not start with food. She went to college to be trained as a modern dancer but realized it wasn't for her halfway through. She then switched to constitutional law and graduated with a bachelor's degree. She wrote her thesis on same-sex marriage and the constitution-- The Supreme Court ruled in favor of same-sex marriage 10 years later.  

After shifting gears, she found marketing, then food. She trained with many award-winning chefs and traveled the world to immerse herself in learning. She moved to Spain to train with farmers, winemakers, and chefs and she now teaches and consults through her online school. 

Her current focus is on food education and helping others feel empowered in the kitchen. She offers guidance from her unique background in medical, nutrition, fitness, and as a professional chef. Using her passion for food, she has helped her clients understand how food plays a part in their lives. 

Siiri believes that a recipe isn't necessary. Once you are able to connect with the ingredients, it can foster creativity. This is something that she has learned as she is a type-A personality and has used the kitchen as an outlet to express her creativity. Now, she shares with others how to do the same. 

Later this year, she will host her first chef excursion, Core Kitchen. An all-inclusive five-day immersion in the culture of Italy. It allows participants to experience all aspects of creating meals from farm to table, and to learn about ingredients, techniques, and tools to enhance their cooking experiences.

It is impossible to achieve clarity through confusion. It will do exactly what it says: it will confuse your customers, your clients, your prospects, people you want to be your customers, and leave them wondering how you can actually support them. You don't get paid from confusion. It is crucial that you have a strategy for promoting different products and services without confusing your audience.

People don't buy your product, they buy you. Lack of clarity can confuse current and potential customers. This will result in frustration as you won't be able to grow your business or profits. Confusion results from a lack of a strategy when you try to promote multiple different things. We must first discuss your marketing strategy for promoting multiple productions and services. 

I was trying to accomplish so many things at the same time. Not only will this confuse others, but it will also confuse your mind and body, resulting in burnout. Trust me. There is a solution. Focus on what matters to you. Your values, what you stand for, and if the product or service aligns with your brand. Before adding another service or product to your business, you must go through this mental checklist. It will just lead to confusion and stress if it is not aligned. 

MONEY HIT:  Purchase a desktop calendar from the dollar tree. You won't be sorry. It's a useful tool for planning my schedule. I use this calendar to plan out when I will promote liquid collagen, private coaching, 1:1 strategy sessions, and my Instagram Stories membership. By putting it on paper, I can become laser-focused on that thing for a set period of time. It keeps me from going insane. That's the best non-technical thing I've done to keep my brand clear of confusion. 

It will prevent you from becoming spammy Tammy or the marketer who leaves links in every story. This will cause your audience to become numb to your content. As long as you have a plan, you can promote multiple products and services. In this episode, I'll show you how to do this without confusion.

 I remember seeing my mom hang checks she received on the refrigerator. It used to drive me nuts since I knew money had more value sitting in a bank account, than uncashed at home. I would often check in with her and see if I was able to bring it to the bank for her. I could see the value. I always knew that money could buy you what you wanted. So why was my mom leaving it uncashed at home? 

We are shaped by our early memories and experiences regarding money and our relationship with it. Although I knew we had enough money to participate in what I wanted, seeing those checks on the refrigerator created memories I had held on to over the years. It affected my money story. 

We all have some of these stories. Money is dirty. Money is bad. I waste money. I can’t spend money. Money will always be a struggle. Wrong. Katie shares with us ways that we can boost our business growth, that cash money in our banks, by improving our money mindset with simple strategies.
