The church serves many different functions. It's a great place to find fellowship with others and has become a community where people can enjoy food together. In today's message, Pastor Bill talks about how we can use our gifts and talents to serve and 'feed' others. Service always involves work. As the scripture says, 'He who won't work, won't eat', and this holds true even in the church. By getting involved in the lives of others, we 'feed' them God's love, which is the most satisfying meal they'll ever have.
A group of people who endured the hardships of the Great Depression and WW II are commonly known as "The Greatest Generation." They worked tirelessly to overcome and are respected for their resilience. In today's society, there seems to be a sense of entitlement where people believe they deserve things simply because they exist. Today, Pastor Bill refers to these people as 'slackers' and emphasizes the importance of welcoming them. Through Bible teaching, they can learn to become 'trackers.'
Society constantly bombards us to ‘live out loud’ on almost every level. Do everything you can to get noticed and make a name for yourself. However, scripture commands us to do just the opposite of that. We are to live quiet, proper, and orderly lives. Today, in his message, Pastor Bill has developed a name for those who try to live according to God’s word. He calls them Trackers - when we are ‘on track’ with living a well-ordered life as described in the word of God and displaying Christian values.
A recent survey revealed that while 45% of Evangelicals read the Bible at least once a week, only about 11% read it daily. The majority of people only read it a couple of times a year or never read it at all. In his message today, Pastor Bill underscores the significance of developing a regular reading habit, even daily. He acknowledges it may seem impossible to get started, but he also assures us that the transformative power of consistent Bible reading is worth the effort. Reading it will change our lives.
There are various reasons why people attend church, and the same can be said for those who don't attend. Some people go because of tradition, “that’s where my family has always gone.” While others might have family members serving in the church. In his message today, Pastor Bill draws attention to how this has been a common practice since the early days of the church. However, he stresses the main reason for attending church should be to maybe receive from God through His Word.

When you learn a martial art you are told to practice through repetitious movements. The idea is that when in a competition or a self-defense situation, you don’t have to think muscle memory takes over. Much like the repetition of martial arts training, Pastor Bill reminds you to hold onto the Word found in the Bible. That is you, should know what the Bible says so much that when you get in a tough situation “muscle memory” kicks in and you just know what the Word says to do.
For those non-believers, one bad story or experience can shake them to a point of no return. Without the foundation of Christ in their life, they have no anchor to hold onto. In today’s message, Pastor Bill reminds you that no matter your past experiences, or current circumstances, as a follower of Christ you can stand fast and anchor yourself in God’s love. You may still be shaken, but you must remind yourself that you haven’t missed God, and He hasn’t missed you, there’s nothing you can’t handle.
Has anyone ever asked you to help them with something but they didn’t say where they needed help? Many times doing what is asked of you requires you to go somewhere else. Well in today’s message, Pastor Bill has good news, you can obey God right where you are! You don’t have to wait until you get to a new or different city, and you don’t have to wait until a specific time. You can stand fast and serve God right where you are. You may feel called to go somewhere else, well then that’s where you serve Him.
Why do you go to work? You may say for a paycheck, but why do you need a paycheck,? Well, to take care of your family. Everybody knows why you go to work without having to ask. In today’s message, Pastor Bill reminds you to follow the teachings in the Bible because God loves you. When someone loves you and you love them back you naturally want to do things that make them happy. When it comes to God the best way to show appreciation for His love is to follow His commandments.
