There are certain scriptures and ideas in the Bible that will continue to remain a mystery to our human minds. Surely there is nothing on this earth comparable to 'God-in-three-person'. "Those who don't learn history are doomed to repeat it," bellows the words from a Harvard professor. Even in the Bible, one of the most sobering verses in the Old Testament comes from the book of Jesus that states, 'people went around those days doing RIGHT IN THEIR OWN EYES'! Pastor Bill goes a step further to say that phrase sounds a lot like our world today. Even today, there are still people in this world that think they know more than the God of the heavens. Today, don't just make Christianity convenient. Make it co-dependent on Jesus!

How often are our daily problems turning into mountains from molehills? Sometimes we think that the problems we go through are too insignificant for a mighty God. Why would one that created the heavens and the earth worry about me? Consequently, we try to move our mountains with our own strength. Pastor Bill encourages us that God is ultimately the One that will bring stability to our lives and establish us. There simply just has to be faith and trust on our part today.

Everyone craves that intriguing life. A life that always keeps us at the edge of our seats with an exciting adventure. Or maybe that sentence sounded exhausting to you just thinking about it? What if your Christianity was like that? Jesus doesn't want religion for you that stays stale, but a relationship that's vibrant. Yet, Pastor Bill humorously reminds us to be careful when we do that because Jesus will change everything radically! On school field trips, Teachers always remind their students, "Now make sure you are on your best behavior! You are representing the school!" Or maybe those same words came from parents or family members. For the family, school, or even business we represent, we become the example of that entity. Pastor Bill points out that even Christians are under a microscope of scrutiny. Whether in the New Testament or today, our lives are always on display to show the heart of God.

"Be on your guard" is a timeless phrase. Or how about - "watch your back"? It's a saying we use to remind someone to always be attentive. In the book of Romans, Paul also urges the churches of the New Testament to be watchful for the people that only come to corrupt the church. Pastor Bill even urges us today not only to bring joy into the church but also to bring wisdom. There are many things in this world that set out to deceive us, but it's our wisdom in God that helps us navigate the deception!
