Does God seem real to you? Do you think you can't be saved because of what you've done? These are LIES. Don't believe them. Look at creation. Birds of the air. Flowers in bloom. The reality of Jesus surrounds you. Pastor Bill talks today about the wrath of God. Simply put. It's His right to judge anything that squashes His truth, that goes against Him. The good news? We can escape our earned destiny as sinners and be with Jesus in Heaven. So, with this knowledge, will you live in faith?

Anything new brings this sense of joy and excitement, this desire to want to share it with everyone. As time goes on, it gets a little old, and less appealing. I've heard all that before. Jesus loves me. He died for my sins. He rose again. Have you thought of this before? I know I have, but don't miss the certainty of the message. Jesus was RESTORED to life through holy power, having VICTORY over death for all time. Have you heard, don't let the past define who you are? The apostle Paul lived this truth and knew he was a CHANGED person IN GOD. Friends, you're loved by Jesus no matter how murky or clear your road has been. This is Pastor Bill's message today.

Nehemiah's relationship with God was ongoing. He continually had conversations and sought Jesus in the things he did...When he found out about the state of Jerusalem. When he saw that something had to be done. When he rebuilt the walls. When he found sin had taken over. For us, we can live in this restored, joyous life that isn't under the rules of the old law as Pastor Bill reminds us today. When JESUS came and gave His life on the cross, it enabled us to live free of sin through the power of the Holy Spirit!

What's going on here? This stuff shouldn't be happening. It's going against God and what's right. I wonder if these were some thoughts that ran through Nehemiah's mind when he discovered the state of the temple. Now, living in this place of worship was a man named Tobiah. A man that was against Nehemiah rebuilding the wall of Jerusalem. Sin had wormed its way in. People were living a loose lifestyle. They loved gold. As Pastor Bill asks today, what happened to the joy they had earlier during the dedication?

Walls in shambles. No one is rebuilding. Lots of prayers. Asks for help. Fast forward. Nehemiah has fixed everything that was in disrepair. And now with the Levites, he'll dedicate the wall of Jerusalem. This means it will be set apart for a specific purpose. Can you imagine how Nehemiah and the others felt? There was this joy, this excitement as they praised God for the restored Jerusalem. This is what Pastor Bill talks about today. When was the last time you had the joy of the Lord that was so loud your neighbors heard you?

Just as there were different gates that Nehemiah was to rebuild in the ruined city of his forefathers there are various opportunities for Godly men and women to serve each other. Today Pastor Bill talks about the possible meaning of those gates that Nehemiah was to fix. Each one is unique. This makes me think of distinct personalities within the church that could reach others for Jesus IF they were willing to do the work. Are you willing to pray and consider what you can do to smooth out the bumpiness of life?

Do you know what's beautiful? When everything works as it's meant to. Be it an event or a piece of machinery. In today's case, as Pastor Bill explains, that beauty would look like Christians getting their hands dirty in the messiness of life. Being used by God to rebuild what's broken. Just as Nehemiah did with a downtrodden place full of discouragement and shattered lives. Friends, are you ready to work for the cause of Christ? To lift one another up, giving hope where it's desperately needed?

Pastor Bill is diving into the book of Nehemiah today, telling the story of the cupbearer to the king of a foreign nation. This cupbearer doesn't stay in a land far away, however. He hears of the troubles facing Jerusalem and after praying and fasting, he decides to do something about it! Ezra was in Jerusalem facing all the problems, but he didn't know Nehemiah was on the way. When you face problems today, you, too, don't know who God is busy raising up to stand alongside you, facing them together!
