The Implanted Word Podcast

People were believing what John the Baptist was teaching. There was a movement of faith. No hiccups or bumps. Seemingly smooth and easy...until it's NOT. JOY shouldn't be dependent on what career you have or how well your day's unfolding. Or the things you have. Or what people say to you. The real joy that Pastor Bill's sharing with us today can and SHOULD only come from Jesus. He's the clarity that we need because what we FEEL isn't always TRUE. Friends, don't base your happiness on worldly things that change.

If something's given to you that's too wonderful for words would you only take a part of it or all of it? To me, taking only a portion of it doesn't make sense, but that's what we do sometimes. We have faith in God, but we don't open the door to our lives to Him. We don't accept His gift of salvation. Keeping our hands tight on the steering wheel doesn't allow His power to drive us in the direction that's best for us. As Pastor Bill reminds us in his message, Jesus doesn't want you, or I, to go through life or die without knowing Him!

This guy has done all the studying. He's like a walking religious dictionary for people in Bible times. His knowledge of the law is beyond anyone else, and yet he gets told it's not enough. It actually isn't even right. Can you imagine being told you're wrong after all those years of being a role model? This is part of Nicodemus's story that Pastor Bill explains today. Nicodemus finds out that following Jesus means turning away from anything in his life that's wrong. He must be born again.

Did you know that the symbol for medicine comes from the Old Testament? When the Israelites were wandering in the desert, they ran into a problem with snakes. They pleaded with God to deliver them, and He responded by telling Moses to make a bronze statue of a serpent and anyone who looked at it would live. In the same way, God offers life to anyone who looks to Jesus on the cross as their savior. In today’s message, Pastor Bill will teach you that the only way to be born again is by looking to Jesus.

One of the enemy's greatest lies is that going to church makes you a Christian. Nicodemus was a religious elite who was intrigued by Jesus and His miracles. Nicodemus was born into the right family, given the right education, and made a religious leader. Jesus made it very clear to Him that none of those things could get him into heaven. He had to be born again. In today’s message, Pastor Bill will show you that the only way to heaven is through believing in Jesus as your savior. So, have you been born again?

Have you ever thought about how awful It would be if everyone could know your worst thoughts? I mean, we get into enough trouble with the ones that we actually speak. While it’s a good thing that we are able to keep bad thoughts to ourselves, God sees them. What’s amazing though is that he still chooses to love us. He loves us enough to give his only son as a sacrifice for our sins. In today’s message, Pastor Bill will show you that God wants to know you as His child, even on your worst days.

Are you truly seeking God or just going through the motions? It’s easy to go through the motions. You know how it goes. Go to church on Sunday, put some money in the offering plate, and then head to lunch. The motions only matter if your heart is engaged. It was just going through the motions that drove Jesus to drive out the livestock and turn over the tables in the temple. In today’s message, Pastor Bill will teach you that God desires for you to seek him in spirit and truth.

Is your house clean? I don’t mean your physical home. Although it may be a good idea to pick it up every now and then. When you accept Jesus as your savior, you become a temple for the Lord. In today’s message, Pastor Bill will show you that Jesus likes for you, his temple, to be clean. He wants you to be clean so that you can have the most amount of joy and live a life that glorifies Him. Sin clutters your house, making it hard to live the way you were meant to live. So, what is keeping your house dirty?

Jesus came to get His bride ready for the wedding. What that means is that He came to bring His transforming power into the darkest corners of your heart. He came to bring you back to life. Today, Pastor Bill shares that this is what the miracle of turning the water into wine is all about. It points to how Jesus takes the hopeless and broken things in your heart and life and makes them into something new. He changes everything. So invite Him in and watch the miraculous things that He’ll do in your life today.

When you’ve got something big coming up, like an event or a project, it tends to take up your thoughts. You probably spend time thinking through how you’d like it to go and making to-do lists to help you prepare for it. Well, today, Pastor Bill explains that Jesus has something on His mind while He’s attending a wedding. When He says “my time has not yet come,” He’s speaking about giving His life for you and me on the cross. You’ll see how Jesus is thinking through all that would happen to get Him there.
