Series 1: “The World Through Our Eyes…’
Episode 1- “The ‘ADHD Key’ to the Locked Box” with Natasha Hickling.
Dear Diary, Welcome to "The Indigo Diaries". Join guest host Ben Stephens as he interviews the first guest and usual host, Natasha Hickling, in the first diary entry of the series.
Natasha is 28 and originally from the UK. She now lives in Malaysia with her partner (the guest host) and their cat, MiMi, and dog, LaiLai. She works as a SENCO (Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator) at an international school.
Discover how a girl that started life as a vibrant and carefree ‘tom boy’ gradually locked her true self away as external influences and pressure to “fit in” took over, leading to struggles with mental health that continued into adulthood. After diagnoses of coexisting conditions at various stages of her life, an ADHD diagnosis finally came at the age of 27. At long last her true self could be released again, setting in motion a whole new journey of self-discovery.
Consequently, she founded her own international ADHD online support group with the goal of connecting people who are just like her so that no one in the world feels alone, closed off or just different, as this is something she knows all too well!
We hope you enjoy the first episode!
