    The reality is that many LTBIQ women face social infertility, because making a family comes at a literal financial cost. With women already on the lower financial bracket in the work place, the cost of starting a family for women in our communities can be a big surprise.

  • New name, same direction for IHRA
    What is in a name?
    Quite a bit when it comes to the intersex community.
    At a special general meeting on the fourth of march of Organisation Intersex International Australia, members approved a change in the name from OII Australia to Intersex Human Rights Australia.
    Morgan Carpenter from Intersex Human Rights Australia spoke with Dean Arcuri about what this change means for the organisation.

  • Department of HOMO Affairs disrupts Mardi Gras Parade for Refugees
    From Protest to Pride was the slogan of the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras on its 40th Anniversary. Culminating in a fabulous parade of remembrance and celebration, it wasn’t all smooth sailing this year.
    Queer Refugee activist group, the Department of Homo Affairs intervened & disrupted the Liberal Party marching in this years parade, in the spirit of the original 1978 Mardi Gras.
    Dean Arcuri spoke with Officer Cunstable Nicole Curby from The Department of Homo Affairs about their protest.
