The GLOBE Community Awards recognise the inspiring work in Victoria’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex communities.
The Victorian LGBTI Person of the Year represents one of the hardest working and most committed people to support our community to build, reach out, discover and thrive. Each finalist has committed their life to supporting the LGBTI community and has achieved huge success through their work and are in part, responsible to the leaps and bounds we have made. This year’s winner is Micah Scott. He began his career as a volunteer for Minus18 at the age of seventeen and after profound changes in the organisation he has grown to be the CEO. The organisation boasts a reach of over150,000 people and provides LGBTI resources used all over the world.
