We're taking another break! Thank you so much for sticking with us, and to anyone new who has come on board since we started back up after the last break.

Just the two of us this week, getting up early to talk about The Isolation Tapes, our last EP, and the impact that funding had on the project. We’re not consultants for this sort of thing, but we give you our insight on applying for funding from an artist’s point of view.

Better late than never…and that’s the case for where we’re at right now in SO MANY ways. Not only us uploading this pod late in the day, but the US Election results taking longer than usual, and the 2nd lockdown in the UK coming in November when it might have been better just a smidge earlier!

It’s just the two of us this week, catching up and discussing what the creative landscape looks and feels like on the precipice of a 2nd lockdown.

We welcome Alec Brits to the podcast; a friend, a collaborator and, let’s just say it, a role model. Alec is a multi-instrumentalist, producer, songwriter and all round good guy. We’ve wanted him on the show since we first started and have finally got him in. We talk about how to be healthy in the music industry, his ethos and hear about Alec’s tyrant side when it comes to cables…yes cables.

We go from the drummer to the bassist, welcoming Craig Walsh on to the show this week. Craig plays in the same band as last weeks guest, Dave Ormsby, and is another who has stood in for us when we’ve needed him. Craig is one of the best bassists that we know and it is a pleasure to have someone that we respect so highly, and who such a good friend, on the show.

We welcome Dave ‘Dormsby’ Ormsby to the podcast this week. Dave is the all round session drummer, playing with bands and artists in the studio, live and under his stairs!

We’re happy to announce that we’ve snagged another guest for the show that we have been trying to snag for a while! Joe Hicks is a songwriter, and artist, from the South of England whom we have bumped in to numerous times, at various Sofar Sounds gigs and gotten on so well with, every time, that we wanted to get in to the good stuff with.
