Laurel works with our very own Alex as her producer and has been carving out her own path with her last EP, Mortals, and new single, Candy. We talk about the difference between an artist and a singer/songwriter, the dark side of TikTok and how important it is to be in control of your own project as a young artist today.

We’ve bagged a live one! One of the rarest creatures in the galaxy graces the podcast this week, a B-Rock.

Here’s a little something that we prepared earlier. Recored at the beginning of March 2020, we’re joined by composer, pianist and producer, Bowrain. This was a special one for us, welcoming someone into our home that Shell had discovered at her first gig working for Sofar Sounds, back when that was acceptable!

It’s good to be back and we’re back with a good one! Tim Linghaus came into our lives when we stumbled across his album, Memory Sketches B-Sides, and recommended him on the podcast. He reached out to say thanks and we’ve kept in touch ever since! We’re massive fans of his music and we thought we would use this new era in which zoom calls are now acceptable, to chat to someone for whom we are a genuine fan.

WE’RE BACK! Like Eminem, we’re constantly back. However, this time it’s for a whole season 2 of Who The Fuck Is Deliah? We wanted to lessen the load as even though we love the podcast, a weekly show can be tough to keep up. Therefore, we took a break, gathered some episodes and we’re back…did I mention that?

This week we’ve got a couple of oldies but goodies on the show. Resident DJ Ben Gladwin has moved back to Liverpool and is living with Wide Eyed Boy guitarist, Kobi, also of this parish and a previous guest on the podcast.

This week it’s family time as we welcome Alex’s sister, Sophie, to the podcast. Since we’re doing things a little differently at the moment, due to the global pandemic, we thought that we would get people from all walks of life on the show and see how the pandemic has been affecting them. Sophie works for great cancer awareness charity, Coppafeel! I very creative, innovative and important charity, perfect for our show.

I know that we said we would be away for a while, but you know what, during this crisis, the likes of which we have never seen before, we figured that it was a good idea to return and talk about the world we’re living in today in regards to our own, niche perspective.

Ok, we have a confession to make - we’re not going to be doing these every other week. We’re going to be taking a break from the pod to get our shit together and make it the best that it can be…for you…but also for us. We just wanted to say bye before we disappear for a couple of months.
