What does it really mean to live an unapologetic life?
Well, I define unapologetic as living a life that is designed for your personal gain & enjoyment.
There is a freedom when you stop explaining or justifying the way you live your life. Your life is yours not everyone else's so remember you get to create the blueprint & interior design your life.
In this episode I will discuss the truth about living your life unapologetically, what does this really mean & 4 key components to start your journey.
"The secret of CHANGE is to focus all your energy not on fighting the old, but on building the new." ~Socrates~
So why is change so hard ?
Sometimes the restlessness we feel is subliminal to the unrest we create within ourselves. Instead of surrendering, we choose to fight the unknown due to our fear of change. Change can sometimes be hard to embrace; however, the thing on the other side could be the best thing we could imagine. In this episode, we will dissect the fear associated with change and how to rest in the unrest and embrace the change ahead with three simple evaluation tips.
"Embrace uncertainty. Some of the most beautiful chapters in our lives won't have a title until much later." ~Bob Goff~
The beauty about uncertainty is no matter how well we plan there will always be question marks on how the journey will unfold. Sometimes we allow the fear of the unknown keep us from pursuing our dreams and the life we always desired to live. However, if we focus on the journey instead of the destination we will realize embracing the hidden parts will help us accept the adventures of life. If you don't turn your life into a story, you just become a part of someone else's story. ~Terry Pratchett~
Are you willing to live life the way you want or conform to society's standards on how your life should be?
The above question is something I had to ask myself after I finished my military career. I knew I no longer cared to live my life by society's metric of what is called "The American Dream," but I wanted to live the life of my dreams. I knew doing things the conventional way would not work for me in the pursuit of living my dreams. So I had to learn how to create my own rules and break some rules to live my life on my own terms.
Living a life that fulfills and excites you all begin with letting go of society's definition and aligning yourself with your values, desires & priorities. So if you are ready to let go of the mediocre to jump into the extraordinary, then in this episode, I will give you three simple ways on what steps you need to implement to build a life on your terms.
The purpose of life, after all, is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience. ~Eleanor Roosevelt~
I remember when I had my first experience of living abroad, it changed my life. My eyes were open to the idea of understanding that life is more significant than what we can imagine. However, we often get stuck living a monotonous life because we are fearful of the unknown & comfortable with the familiar. Over the years, I have learned that when I let go of the ordinary and dive into the unknown, my life expands, and I experience serendipitous moments. Living abroad has given me a joy I never thought I would imagine, and since my life is constantly changing, my desire to move back abroad has become louder and louder.
In this episode, I discuss how I got to live abroad, the three concepts that I learned living abroad, and why I desire to break up with America and move back internationally.
"Comparison is the thief of joy." ~Theodore Roosevelt~
What if we believed that we were the best instead of comparing ourselves with someone else?
In a technology-induced world, the enemy of comparison & competition has plagued us all at some point in our life. Social media has made it easy to play the game of comparison with strangers we never met. The small reel of a moment in someone's life makes us question our whole existence. What can we do to take our power back & realize the only competition is becoming the best version of ourselves?
In this episode, I am discussing ways to let go of the toxic cycle of comparison, eliminate the need to look at other people's lives as a benchmark & start competing with yourself to be the best person you desire to be.
"Life is a daring adventure or nothing at all." ~Helen Keller~
So when will you cast away the fear, let go of the idea of failure, and dive into a life you have always dreamed of? This is the question but the answer may be hard to approach. Fear, failure and the ghost of being fraudulent often plagues us when taking a step in the direction of our dreams seems impossible. And to leap over impossibility we have to just begin in spite of it all.
In this episode, I am discussing three ways to let the fear reside; understand not starting is the only failure, and the actual fraudulence is not doing what your soul was called to do. Let's just begin & dive head first into the life of our dreams......
"Here's to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes... the ones who see things differently - they're not fond of rules... You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can't do is ignore them because they change things... they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do." ~Author Unknown~
In this episode I am discussing a few tips on how to embrace your inner misfit, let go of the idea of following the rules and being okay with being misunderstood.
Summer is a perfect time to embrace the concept of doing less & living more because we are in a season of longer days with beautiful weather. However, in our American society, we have been conditioned to work harder, move up the ladder of success & leave behind the idea of enjoying life. How can we utilize the summer to slow down, delve into life pleasures and say no to the rat race of life?
Well, in this episode, I am discussing a few ways to help you create a pleasant summer by letting go of the stress, saturating yourself in the beauty of the present moment & creating a balance between the hustle and slowdowns of life.

The heartache and heartbreaks of life can sometimes wreak havoc on our joy; that is why refueling ourselves is essential. Our joy is the anchor that keeps us hopeful in dark moments.
