Yes, you read that right, this is my 250th episode of the podcast! After a quick celebration, I talked about the current Escalation timeline. Unfortunately, Escalation is currently delayed with no ETA. After that I covered  the pair of PTS updates related to Escalation that were published on the 26th and 28th, respectively. I finished this week by talking about Leaderless outfits, an issue that I don’t think Rogue Planet Games has fully thought out. On this week’s show I started by covering the last major PTS update before the Escalation update comes this week. This includes changes to Alerts, Bastion Fleet Carriers, Sanctuary and more. After that I put to bed the rumor that Rogue Planet Games is working on Planetside 3 with info straight from Andy’s mouth. Then it was back to Planetside 2 news with the push to 90% positive on Steam and the coming of Russian and Chinese language translations to the game.

On this week’s show I started with the Escalation launch delay. I think the feedback regarding the delay is pretty much positive, but I talked about it anyways. After that there were a pair of PTS updates to talk about that happened on the 12th and 14th. Pay close attention because there are a lot of changes to both War Assets and Outfit Wars in these two updates. I finished this week by talking about the new player guide that Nogigs put together and why anyone thinking about playing Planetside 2 should check it out.

On this week’s show, before the big Escalation news, I talked about the Valentine’s Day items that are returning to the Depot but then it was all Escalation content. I talked about last week’s Dev Live Stream that finally brought to light all the secret Dev PTS stuff that I’ve been a part of. I covered the Bastion Fleet Carriers, Outfit Wars, War Assets and more. After that I gave a deeper dive into what it was like in the Private Dev PTS group including who was in it and what we did to help the Devs make this game update amazing. Finally this week, I gave everyone a reminder on how to install the PTS client so that you too can check this awesome new content out.

Finally, I finished this week talking about something I missed last week, Paul’s comments about the RPG spin-off from DBG.

On this week’s show I first covered the announcement of Rogue Planet Games and what this means for Planetside 2 and the franchise in general. I also did my best to dispel some myths at the same time. After that I talked about the RPG Team Photo which included a DOG! Then I spent a moment to remind everyone of the extended maintenance coming on Tuesday, so plan your Ops Nights accordingly. I finished this week by giving an update on the Dev PTS playtesting that I’ve been doing since everyone is dying to know what’s going on. I didn’t spoil anything though, sorry.

January 28th PC Maintenance

On this week’s show I started by talking about the news that the PTS has been taken offline for regular players for a few weeks. I definitely know why and it’s pretty big stuff. After that I summarized the Empire Strength Game Update for both PC and PS4 which brought a new victory point system back along with some much needed NSO buffs and changes. Next I talked about the return of Nanite Appreciation Week and finished by dispelling any rumors that servers will be merged any time soon.
