In this episode of the ISPodcast we discuss the importance of maintaining good mental health in school. We talk about the difficulty of reaching out to get help due to the negative stigma surrounding bad mental health. We offer a diverse set of perspectives on the topic especially when it comes to how we have managed certain situations ourselves, how we kept our motivations high and what we payed attention to the most to minimise our stress. Mental health needs to be advocated to high school students just as much as good physical health. Many schools already offer sufficient support, some don't and that needs to change.
Have you ever wondered how much truth there is to high school myths? Yes? No? Well either way, in this serious yet comedic panel discussion we tackle 7 different high schools myths and examine their validity. These topics lead us everywhere from 'popular' kids having sex in cars all the way to people doing drugs in bathrooms. Sveta, Lucy and I (Luka) offer an international perspective having been raised in Austria, Belgium and Germany respectively. Wether you fear Freshmen Friday or wonder how much drinking goes on in high school, this episode is a must watch. Some of these myths are misleadingly dangerous lies while others do have some truth to them.
