The Introvert Diaries

We've all heard that real beauty is on the inside, and while that is true, isn't it also true that we all have our own routines before we leave the house, whether that's doing our hair, wearing a nice outfit, or even just checking out our reflections when we pass by a window? In this episode, I'll be discussing how no matter what we say, we're all a little bit vain. I was in a bit of a mood for this one, and there is a copious use of the "f" word in here. Therefore, if you have overly sensitive ears, you might want to sit this one out. I think we can all take the time to be more mellow. I don't know if it's just that I'm getting older, or I just don't have the energy anymore, or if it's just that my mindset in general is changing, but I have noticed myself not getting as stressed out lately over things. In part 2 of this episode, I continue on with some of the worst interviews I've ever had. With so many people losing their jobs now, I feel like the situation will be similar, if not worse, than it was in 2008. People will be so desperate to be able to work again that employers will feel they can behave as rudely and unprofessionally as they want, because a person who is desperate for a job will put up with anything. I also want to correct a mistake when I was talking about an interview I had, where I said it was in Port Jervis. I meant Port Chester.

When you go on interviews, in the best of scenarios the interview goes great and you get the job. In the worse cases, at best, it's fairly uneventful. However, sometimes you have the misfortune to have a interview that just burns itself into your memory as one of the worst interviews you've ever had. I have a number of those stories. So many in fact that not only did I have to split this episode into two parts, but part 1 wound up being almost 30 minutes long.
