he's back, ladies and gents! my fiancé is back on the pod, but this time, i'm interviewing him. peter discusses his non-traditional path into filmmaking, learning as he goes and through his community. he also shares what it's like to work on a film set, from tv shows to music videos, and how he's able to use his creativity to create outstanding work without the resources and equipment from larger film studios. peter is the perfect example of paving the way into a field based on passion, dedication and talent.

peter borowski is a founding member and producer at screw city films and a milwaukee film fest filmmaker for his latest documentary: ongosf: derivative bullshit, premiering 4/28/24 at the oriental theatre. peter had an unconventional path in filmmaking. he studied engineering, but fostered his love of film through a filmmaking club in college. since then he has "learned by doing" on set making tv shows in chicago and making short films with the mid-ohio filmmakers association. peter mainly works behind the camera specializing in cinematography and art direction, though he has dabbled in writing. located in milwaukee, peter wants to do his part in growing the area’s film community and making mke a great film destination.

ever wonder what it's like to be a content creator? or what it's like to go viral and gain a social media presence? linda cheung is no stranger to the spotlight. she's on the podcast today to discuss all things video content creation both for a big brand and personal content, along with how she separates herself from her work and manages her mental health when it comes to internet fame. this episode was a special treat to record because not only is linda a previous coworker of mine from taste of home, but she is also a dear friend.

mattea is a creative originally from colorado. she began her career as a fashion blogger and picked up photography as a hobby. she then pursued her BS in entrepreneurship in saint louis before moving to chicagoland where she worked as an influencer marketer for 6 months before quitting her job to do full-time freelance photography. in the summer of 2020 and at the peak of covid, she started an advertising agency with her brother. since then, the company has scaled to a total of 5 employees across the country. she now works full-time as the digital marketing lead of the agency and also does freelance photography as a passion project.
