Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was taken to the hospital and underwent emergency heart surgery yesterday morning. There is a lot of tension in the air today in Israel as the Knesset is supposed to pass into law the first of the Judicial Reforms. The political left in Israel is having a tantrum and doing everything they can think of to try and stop this controversial bill, including manually submitting 27,000 objections against the bill. Literally.

Many people are blasting RFK Jr. for his seemingly antisemitic remarks made at a fundraising event last week in New York. However, as is often the case in this day and age, not everything is always as it seems, and it pays to take a step back and look at all the facts and context surrounding this event. In doing so we find that not only were Robert Kennedy's comments blown way out of proportion, but he might actually be the most pro-Israel candidate in the democrat party. A US Congresswoman made a bold, public statement this week declaring that Israel is a racist state, that the Palestinian people deserve autonomy and self-determination, and calling on the public to make sure that the dream of the two-state solution does not die, even though its reality feels impossible AND support for the two-state solution has massively dwindled amongst Israelis AND Palestinian Arabs! Ironically, the Palestinian Authority, the governing body for the Arabs who live in Judea and Samaria, didn’t make a very good case for the world to support their self-determination this week. In response, the Biden administration called on Israel to “respect the right of peaceful assembly” after saying they are trying to keep Israel from going off the rails. Thousands of protesters also took to the streets to demonstrate. They blocked roads across Israel and demonstrated at the Ben-Gurion Airport and additional locations on Tuesday, calling it a "Day of Resistance" and “Disturbance”. In Herzliya, the protesters, or as some are calling them, anarchists, set up tents and burned tires in the middle of the HaSira junction. Hundreds of demonstrators gathered in front of a court in Haifa and in Rehovot, around 2,500 protestors gathered at the Park junction. Additional protests were also planned throughout the day in dozens of other cities, towns, and junctions. These protesters claim they are protesting for democracy but the judicial reform is actually pushing democracy forward, so the question is, why are they protesting?
