I first met Michael a few years ago, and it was on stage at a PPN event. I remember seeing him and thinking his a proper posh boy I bet he went to private school and has a degree from a prestigious University. What does he know about hustling! ⠀

“On our mum’s favourite property show this week, we discuss a range of topics and of course take the piss out of each other.

James had to liquidate a very successful business in the past, and we recorded this on the 2 year anniversary. He shared a lot of insight with us on how it felt, the way it was done and the reasons why. More importantly, we discuss the lessons he has learnt from this that we can all apply to our businesses and lives, to try and protect ourselves.

We touch on company cultures, the way you treat your staff and how to hire great people... and keep them great. We talk about the hardship and pain James faced afterwards as we get into the

We also discuss legal contracts, and why it's so important to get these right from the start. You put your signature on something, you are liable. We talk through some bad contracts, and how we have managed to get through these (with the help of James's Mum!).

The HMO property duo Andrew and Mary from the Elite Investor Group are doing some fantastic things in the HMO space and are ones to watch over the coming years.

Both architects by profession give these two a competitive edge over the competition as they can walk into a property, analyse floors plans and see the space a lot differently from a competitor. Knowing how to rearrange a space or how to add value quickly by extending or adding additions is a huge positive in securing great deals.

The power couple, as I like to call them, have a very simple 'WHY' and that is to do the one thing they both love and share a passion for 'Travel.' I also really admire the two on knowing what level of financial freedom they need to get to stop and enjoy life instead of hammering on and increasing the portfolio just for the sake of it. 

I enjoyed recording this podcast with the duo, be sure to grab a note pad and take down some notes as these two do know a thing or two about the property space and how to go about getting into it.

It was inevitable that all sectors of the property market would be affected in some way following the announcement of COVID-19, and one of the areas most severely hit was service accommodation. ⠀

I caught up with Adam of Holistic Properties and Sham of Pilot my property. We spoke about how both these guys have been affected by the whole pandemic, and how they have both gone about changing their business model to ensure occupancy rates remain during this testing time. ⠀

Susannah is a well-established property expert who has implemented a very successful flipping strategy within a buzzing market place. She has a substantial property portfolio that includes HMO’s and single lets, Serviced Apartments and blocks of flats. ⠀

Her driving force was always family security rather than (flash) cash, and so for the first 18 months in property she worked a full-time job, initially took £60k out of her own home mortgage, then raised £600k in Private Finance in order to buy her initial (now dinky) £1.8 million portfolio in Bristol, which then allowed her to jump out of her J.O.B. and work full time in property. She now has an 8 figure property portfolio and is loving life. ⠀

I had the pleasure of interviewing Susannah and boy did she deliver. Note pads at the ready this woman does know a thing or two about the property market and how to make money from it. ⠀

We've wanted to do this for a long time but having massively busy schedules meant it was almost impossible to find a moment to slot this in.

Something this so-called pandemic has taught us is you never really have enough time to do all the things you want to, but it's essential to take the time to do this thing that matter. ⠀

Both Tej and I felt it was important to talk about what is currently going on in the world. We wanted to see how we could add value or offer our experiences in the hopes of it helping someone else or at least motivate them to keep going during this odd period of uncertainty. ⠀
