A few weeks ago, I popped on the mic with no plan and shared openly about an immersive experience I went through at a leadership accelerator retreat. I committed to sharing my unfiltered thoughts, dilemmas, and growth processes on this podcast, so that’s exactly what I did in episode 28 and what I will be doing in this episode as well.
After attending the leadership accelerator retreat, I went home for 48 hours and repacked my bags for a VIP session with Dan Martel. These experiences were fundamentally different– one focused on self-reflection and the other was a business strategy session– but both opened my eyes to areas of myself and my business that need improvement. Tune in to this episode to learn more about my takeaways from each experience.

In this episode, I reflect on my recent 4-day-long Leadership Accelerator Retreat. This immersion program broke down who we are as humans and how we show up in our relationships and business.
Each day, the program started at 10 am and ended at 11 pm. Sounds long, right? That’s exactly what I thought before I got there. But what I quickly learned is that time doesn’t exist when you’re fully immersed in an experience. When you commit yourself fully to being present, time is the last thing on your mind. That’s just one of the many lessons I took away from the weekend.
Tune in to this short, but reflective episode to hear more about my retreat experience and how I believe it bettered me for the future!

Welcome back to another episode of the Jackie Service Show. Are you hiring or starting to think about hiring new talent? Yes? Then this episode is for you.
The days of posting a job on a job board and praying that good talent will apply, are long gone. It’s naive of us to think the right candidates are going to somehow find our job posting amongst the thousands of others posted on the same site.
As someone who has been in HR for over 15 years, I have seen a shift in the hiring process. There may be record-high numbers of Americans seeking new work opportunities, but that doesn’t mean job-seekers are desperate. Now more than ever, employees want employers to acknowledge their humanity. They want to be treated like a person—not a number in a pile of resumes.
In this episode, I’ll talk about my hiring process and other tips I have for finding the perfect candidate to join your team.

In a world of fill-the-seat recruiters, how can we build true, authentic partnerships over transactional relationships?
This question has been on my mind and it’s the topic of this podcast episode. As someone who founded a boutique recruitment firm and has a background in HR, I’ve seen how the “big guys” hire talent. I have also experienced the mindset of many recruiters– how quickly can I fill the seat and get out, how quickly can I make my money and get out?
That sort of thinking is exactly why I founded my own firm. I believe I have an innate skill for matching incredible humans with incredible businesses and unlocking leaders of growth companies to max out their potential. Join me in this episode as I share more of my perspective on HR and how I feel fulfilled in the industry day in and day out.

This podcast episode wraps up our Inspiring Women Series– a series that is so near and dear to my heart. I created the Jackie Service Show with the goal to have deep and meaningful conversations and also share stories that truly inspire a new way of doing business. I believe this series did just that and more. Our Inspiring Women’s Series spotlighted women who have taught me so much about life, family, motherhood, and of course business. These women founders shared their personal successes and struggles in hopes that it would inspire listeners and make them feel less alone on the entrepreneurship journey.
Tune in to this solo episode for a list of my key takeaways from the series. I talk about vulnerability, authenticity, leadership, listening…the list goes on.
