In this episode, I sit down with my good friend Josh Smith to dive deep into the philosophies that guide his career — “there are no rules” and “chase the feeling.” It's always a blast chatting with Josh because, while we think alike in many ways, we also come at things from completely different angles. Curious about how therapy can truly change your life?
In this episode, we explore the world of therapy with Dr. Alexandra Guhde, a psychologist with nearly two decades of experience. Dr. Alex’s approach, rooted in contemporary Jungian psychology, views the lifelong search for wholeness as both an essential art and a key to living a fulfilling life.
In our conversation, Dr. Alex reveals the limitations of therapy as a purely scientific practice and the essential, often overlooked, artistic elements that make therapy truly transformative. We discuss why therapy can be terrifying, what really happens in a first session, and why the facts, while important, don’t always matter as much as you might think. Learn how therapy can move beyond just managing symptoms to help you achieve deeper self-awareness and meaningful personal growth.
Whether you're curious about starting therapy or looking to deepen your understanding of the therapeutic process, this episode offers valuable insights and practical advice from an expert deeply committed to the art and science of therapy.
