In this episode, which had to be put on pause due to a terror attack against one of United Hatzalah's ambulances that resulted in an injury to and EMS provider, Dov and Raphael discuss the terror attack itself, Raphael's first real-life MCI that took place a few days earlier, and a crazy incident involving a Zebra. All of these incidents occurred within just a few days of one another really made us recognize, once again, that there is no dull moment in EMS.
Infection control consultant Katherine West identifies the role of EMS in the prevention of medical transport-associated infection.
Dov and Raphael delve into the harrowing tragedy that took place in Jerusalem on Nov. 23, 2022, when a double- bombing terror attack claimed the life of an innocent teenage boy and injured 31 others.
The bombings took place at two separate highly-frequented bus stops in the city and stirred old traumas from attacks in the early 2000s.
This was the first such terror bombing to take place in the country since 2011.
Host Eric Chase has a conversation with Sean Britton, a strategic problem-solver/financial advisor, about financial health and wellness planning.

In this episode, Dov and Raphael are once again joined by Gavy Friedson, United Hatzalah’s Director of International Emergency Management. Friedson acted as the mission commander for the organization’s relief efforts both in Puerto after Hurricane Fiona and in Florida after Hurricane Ian.
The trio discusses the team’s efforts in Florida and how the Psychotrauma and Crisis Response Unit once again worked to assist the residents who were adversely affected by the hurricane. Thanks to the many surprises along the way that challenged the group's efforts, teamwork and partnerships were essential in allowing the team to provide psychological treatment and relief for hundreds of residents who lost everything.

Dov and Raphael delve into common EMS incidents where taking a second to stop and think quickly on one's feet about how to proceed can actually save precious minutes when responding. Taking a moment to stop and think can help prevent operational miscues and allow for faster treatment and transport of the patient. From the mayhem of the Jerusalem Bus Terminal to treating a crane operator 30 floors up on his crane, and from a car hanging on the brink of a cliff to a more run-of-the-mill call for a fallen patient and needing to get them down six flights of stairs, thinking fast and acting slow can save a lot of time and anguish for both the providers and the patients while showing them an extra level of care.
This is a stirring conversation with Michael Touchstone. Be a change agent. Be a student. Treat other humans well.
