Our story begins in 2002 where I had no debt and began borrowing money first for a bachelor's degree from the University of South Carolina which I finished in 2006 followed by a master's degree completed in 2012 at the University of South Florida in Tampa.  My wife began the same journey in 2003 with her bachelor's degree from Boston University followed by finishing law school in 2012 at Stetson in Saint Petersburg.  We both took every scholarship and worked multiple jobs to minimize the amount we needed to borrow.

17 years later we have made $100,000+ in payments with no end in sight as our balance today is $193,493.  Our minimum payment is $2039.40 a month with the United States government receiving the majority of that as interest.  At this rate, our children will be finished with college before we have paid off our own loans.

How many others are in the same situation as us or worse?

Can we give everyone else hope by successfully funding this?  So far on GoFundMe, not one campaign appears to have been successful in paying off a large amount of student loan debt.  With one example, we give everyone else hope and more ...

We can do our own accounting as entrepreneurs online easily with QuickBooks Self-Employed, an LLC in the USA, and a business bank account using the steps we see in the video!  We begin with deciding whether or not our hobby is really a business including do donations count for streamers as income, how much money to make before becoming a startup, and where to go next once we realize our venture can be full time someday.  Next, we walk through all the requirements to get a business bank account and credit card which we then sync with QBSE to make our accounting easy from seeing our income, expenses, and profit/loss along with paying estimated taxes to the IRS.  Finally, we wrap up with key issues to be aware of from 1099-K reporting to health insurance and using an Employer Identification Number or EIN for a business in a W-9.  The links below are all mentioned in the video for further reading!

Why is streaming on YouTube, Twitch, Mixer, or Facebook a waste of time before we have built the foundations of our community?  What do successful and established streamers recommended to do BEFORE starting any live streams?  In this TUTORIAL we show how to build a following using tips, tricks, guides, and highlights PRIOR to attempting any live streaming.  After a foundation is laid from uploaded videos to YouTube which are shared on Facebook, Instagram, and Instagram linking to the live streaming destination of the future such as YouTube, Facebook, Mixer, or Twitch, THEN we are ready to  start streaming because our following will be much greater than zero.  This advice was inspired by Speros from https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChHnNhkiCmDk6WG3_AEiAaA including his response to my $20 donation via Streamlabs asking his advice for people hoping to build a following like his which now includes 2,000 viewers per live stream and the ability to go full time.

1 year ago my dog bit my 2 year old daughter in the face. Today we still have our dog and our daughter's scars have faded with no more biting. We went through the conversations about whether to give our dog away, put her down, or keep her at home. We decided to keep her home and ensure our daughter and the dog were never alone again by keeping the dog in the sunroom which has a dog door to go outside but not access to the house. I am grateful we made the choices we did and hope hearing this story is useful for you today!

A simple clap test allows us to sync our camera video and our microphone audio perfectly in OBS and similar live streaming programs using a video editor like Camtasia or Final Cut Pro X.  We just record a video of our hands clapping and put that into our video editor.  In the editor, we check if there is any difference between the time the audio spikes and the time our hands touch on the screen.  If there is, we see the exact number of difference in frames, divide by the frames per second, and add that much delay to our recording software for a perfect sync!
