In this radical episode about respecting people you might not love to be around, you will hear me share some (what I believe to be) much needed guidance and perspective on co-parenting and ways to navigate the landscape of this lifestyle. You are still a wonderful parent even if you aren't with your child's parent. Your child's other parent deserves respect and regard. Your child deserves to see two parents who can interact well, and regardless of your feelings, your child deserves to see YOU being a good person, supporting the other parent (reasonably, not completely), and making them see what a good relationship looks like Your kid(s) deserve it.

Today we discuss postpartum! We talk about the pressures of society on new moms, the lack of community, ways we can choose to show up for each other and understand new moms in our life. We talk about giving ourselves grace, showing respect to our individual experiences, and pausing to be present when we can.

We start season two with something I have been acutely focused on the last year or so- becoming a person that isn't causing strife, stress, negativity, or trauma to my children or anyone around me. With the softness that I believe is necessary to move through life, there also exists the highest standard of becoming our best self. This standard is bigger than us, and it exists to hold ourselves accountable for the person we are becoming. In a world where acceptance is always required, I urge you to look at what you are asking or forcing others to accept. It's like that quote "If they can't handle me at my worst, they don't deserve my best" but it's really like "why give the people you love the worst of you?" Happy listening!

Today we talk about being aligned and what that means. We spend some time connecting alignment to being mindful and aware, and we talk about the juxtaposition between the pace of society and what we truly need as human beings: the time and space to become aware of self and to develop this crucial element of self-awareness. We talk about where our control lies as individuals and the role of discipline in the flow of life. We talk about what it looks and feels like to be aligned or "on the right path" and I also share some personal experiences from my own journey with alignment!

Today we talk about the current relational trend of "matching energy." This is when we essentially mirror back to someone the same type of behavior, attitude,  investment, that they are displaying to us. This phenomenon has created a very hands-off and detached type of connection where we work so hard to avoid addressing and embracing how we really feel. Realizing that we have a lot of power to actually shift energy, rather than just "matching" it, will lead us into more authentic and powerful connections. As individuals, we have so potential to positively impact, even within our interpersonal relationships. In this episode, you will be encouraged to see a new perspective of individual positive influence.

In this episode, we talk about knowing self and how the knowing of self and who we are allows us to develop and posses a truer confidence. Moving through life in this age of influx of content creation, societal expectations, and the focus on what we "should" be doing in life, it's harder than ever to develop an organic sense of self that comes from within rather than being influenced by any external forces (people, society, social media, career expectations, etc.) If we don't know who we are and what we care about most, we can't truly stand on our own two feet and choose that allegiance to ourselves. In a heavily curated life, true authenticity and organic connection is what many of us are after.

So often, we find ourselves at the mercy of circumstances or the influence of others. It's no wonder we feel out of control and not at peace and aren't sure where to begin. In this episode, we share some practical information and tools to begin your journey of becoming more present and aware of the way you are thinking. With this growing ability, it will open doors to creating a life that is more aligned.

Today we talk, very unscripted, about parenthood. Parenthood has come up many times in conversations with listeners and it always something that we could use some soft guidance on. Parenting in this new society is tough, it has evolved so quickly that we haven't had much time to get a grip on our own personal beliefs, nevermind how we want to navigate parenting children who are growing up during these times. I think it's a testament to parenting that we care so much and want to get it right, but with that, we also need to be gracious with ourselves. Through this episode, I share some thoughts on children, parenting, our role as parents, our relationship with our children, and also our relationship with ourselves as parents.

Today we talk about the way we can develop self-love. Along the path of healing, it can be difficult to know where to begin. We talk about initiating a positive relationship with ourselves by embracing and accepting who we are, giving ourselves permission to evolve and grow, and being gracious and showing unconditional love inwardly. This is the entire foundation for healing and once that's in place, you will see the world in such a different way, and you deserve it.

Trigger Warning: Suicide, Suicidal Ideation
This week I share with you one of the greatest messages I have had the privilege to live through and to be able to share. Mental Health is one of my greatest passions as I have lived through some of the lowest lows and feel uniquely qualified to share a little about my own struggle, some reflections, and the way I live now that includes an immense feeling of gratitude. If you have struggled to understand mental health, the idea of suicide, or how a person can feel "at that point" this is a great episode to broaden your perspective. If you are a person struggling, I hope this gives you hope. If you are any human walking this earth, I hope that this will touch your heart and encourage you to choose love and hold the people you love more closely. If this is hard for you to hear because you know me, I thank you for embracing my vulnerability and allowing me to share my story. My favorite thing about my life is that I get to use it to help others.
