Making progress, making money, building a business, or getting “unstuck” doesn’t always require learning something new. Sometimes, life’s breakthroughs come when we rediscover things we’ve already discovered in the past. Think about the ideas, concepts, truths, and strategies you’re aware of but have never fully applied. There may be other things that you’ve completely forgotten about over time.

Learning new things is great. Sometimes, however, I wonder if the things we’re forgetting are more critical than the things we’ve yet to discover. In today’s episode, I want to touch quickly on topics such as – worst-case-scenarios, money, happiness, and going through the “fire.”

In today’s episode, I want to talk about the significant changes currently taking place all around us. What was once a foggy picture is becoming increasingly clear. A fundamental shift is occurring as more of the existing power-structures lose their power, trust, and influence with the masses.

We’re living in a time where we’re seeing the end of what some scholars call, “Mass Society.” In its place, we’re seeing the rise of what some have labeled the new, “Network Society.”

As more people recognize this, we will eventually cross the tipping point, and it will change the way many of us approach business in the months and years ahead.

We’re living in an exciting time and I mean that in a good way!

“Uncertainty” and “uncertain times” – I heard these words more times than I can count over the past twelve months. And while life itself is uncertain, the type of uncertainty we’ve been exposed to is unique to this time. This sustained type of uncertainty has had a domino effect on people worldwide.

It was the tipping of the first domino in what ultimately ended up being a whole line of dominos. As a business owner, this year has given me even more time than usual to really think things through. It’s allowed me to consider my business from the outside looking in as well as the inside looking out.

Change usually occurs gradually, over time. From 2015 to about 2017, I noticed things were beginning to change at an accelerated pace. You could almost feel the change that was in the air. It started to affect (maybe word “infect” would be the better word) everything?

People were growing noticeably tired of the status quo.

In my own industry, people were also growing restless. Many were noticing slowdowns and changes but it wasn’t really something people were discussing in public forums.

Now in 2020, the shutdowns we’ve experienced have put the brakes on most economies throughout the world.

Are we in the midst of what might eventually become a worldwide reset of sorts?

There’s no getting around the fact that how we think has a direct effect upon us. There’s a lot of discouragement out there today. As a result of this, many people aren’t overly optimistic about their future. They are finding it increasingly difficult to move forward.

Regardless of what’s happening on the outside, what’s happening on the inside can be a critical component in determining what comes next for you.

It’s been said that how you think in approaching any single objective is the single most important factor determining whether you reach that objective.

In today’s podcast, I’ll be talking about a 3-part Solopreneur-Style strategy that will change your business. The emphasis here is on SOLO. That means – just you. The great thing about this strategy is, you’re not relying on anyone else.

The strategy is based on having three simple systems in place. The word “system” may be a little misleading because it implies several moving parts. However, each system will work fine with a single moving part.

Most of you already have one or two of these systems somewhat in place. The thing is, you may not see them in the light that I’m going to present them in. Having all three in place completes the picture. From there, you can purposely work your system.

Choosing a marketing/sales system and putting it together is like choosing what software you’re going to use for your daily business activities. You pick something and stick with it. Over time, your speed and proficiency increase, and results follow.

Only two months to go before we’ll be saying, “Goodbye to 2020!” At this point, it’s getting much easier to where we might be headed as we enter 2021. Some industries are recovering quickly here in the US while others will never be the same. I’m talking about businesses who were struggling over the last several years – 2020 has shut many of them down for good.

Let me say this, if you’re a small business owner and you’ve been able to keep your overhead manageable, 2021 will be a great year to focus on building your personal platform and increasing your visibility in whatever marketplace you see a future in.

Some markets have a much brighter future than others. So, we’re going to plan with the future in mind.

At the beginning of the shutdowns, I adopted a “wait and see” approach as to how my market would be affected by the situation.

It’s easy to get caught up in the moment and make a decision that’s more based on emotion than anything else.

Now that we’re getting ready to enter November, it’s much easier to see how things have played out, not just in the economy in general, but in your specific marketplace in particular.
