What if the person you say you want to become is different from the person your daily choices are actually creating?
In this episode of The Jimmie Jam Radio Show, I sit down and wrestle with a question that I think a lot of us need to ask ourselves:
Are you really becoming who you say you want to be?
It’s easy to talk about the life we want, the person we want to become, and the goals we want to accomplish. But what happens when our intentions and our actions don’t line up?
This conversation is about the gap between who we say we want to be and who our habits, choices, priorities, and everyday decisions are shaping us to become.
I’m not coming into this conversation with all the answers. I’m asking myself these same questions. Because becoming the person we’re meant to be requires more than simply wanting change—it requires us to honestly examine what we’re doing, what we’re prioritizing, and what we’re willing to change.
So take a few minutes, listen, and ask yourself:
If I keep living the way I’m living today, where will I be five years from now—and will that person be who I actually want to become?
This is a conversation about growth, purpose, discipline, faith, and becoming.

Can We Trust What We’re Eating?
A recent meat recall raises a bigger question: How much of what we consume do we actually stop and think about?
In this episode of The Jimmie Jam Radio Show, Jimmie Scott Jr. takes a recent recall involving thousands of pounds of meat sold without federal inspection and uses it as a starting point for a much bigger conversation about trust, responsibility, awareness, and what we allow into our lives.
We talk about the labels we trust, the systems we assume are working behind the scenes, and how often we accept things at face value without ever stopping to ask questions.
But then the conversation goes deeper.
If we’re willing to ask, “Can I trust what I’m eating?”—maybe we should also ask:
What else am I consuming?
What are you watching? What are you listening to? What are you allowing to shape your thinking? What are you feeding your children? What are you feeding your spirit?
Sometimes a warning isn’t just something to be afraid of. Sometimes it’s an opportunity to pay attention.
So this episode isn’t just about meat.
It’s about taking a closer look at the things we’ve become comfortable trusting—and asking ourselves whether we’ve actually examined them.
What are you trusting without actually checking?

You don’t have to have it all figured out.
Sometimes we put so much pressure on ourselves to know the entire plan that we become afraid to take the next step. We want the answers, the five-year plan, the perfect timing, and the certainty that everything is going to work out.
But what if God isn’t asking you to figure everything out right now? What if He’s asking you to trust Him with what you can’t see and take the next step with what you do know?
In this episode of The Jimmie Jam Radio Show, Jimmie Scott, Jr. talks about navigating seasons of uncertainty, trusting God when you don’t have all the answers, and understanding that not having everything figured out doesn’t mean you’re failing.
You don’t need the whole roadmap. You don’t need to know exactly how everything will work out.You just need the courage to take the next right step.

What if the thing you’re most afraid to give up is the very thing God is asking you to surrender?
In this episode of The Jimmie Jam Radio Show, Jimmie Scott, Jr. takes an honest look at one of the hardest parts of following God: surrender.
We often ask God to bless our plans, change our circumstances, and open new doors—but what happens when following Him requires us to let go of something we don’t want to lose?
Maybe it’s a relationship. Maybe it’s comfort, control, pride, a habit, your plans, your reputation, or even the version of yourself you’ve become comfortable with.
Drawing from Jesus’ encounter with the rich young ruler and other biblical passages about surrender, Jimmie explores a deeper question:
Do I trust God enough to give Him whatever He asks me to give up?
This isn’t about giving things up just for the sake of sacrifice. It’s about examining what’s really holding our hearts—and whether we’re willing to trust God with it.
If you’re trying to become the person God created you to be, this is a conversation worth having.
What would be hardest for you to surrender if God asked you to let it go?
After nearly two years away, The Jimmie Jam Radio Show is back.
But this isn’t simply a return to podcasting. A lot has changed since I last sat behind the microphone—and I’ve changed too.
In this episode, I open up about why I stepped away from podcasting, what was happening in my life at the time, and why I believe I needed that time away. Sometimes God will ask you to pause—not because the assignment is over, but because He’s working on you before He works through you.
Now that I’m back, the Jimmie Jam Radio Show is entering a new chapter.
Going forward, expect more honest, introspective, and thought-provoking conversations about faith, life, purpose, mindset, money, personal growth, and the process of becoming the person God created you to be.
I’ll be sharing my perspectives, asking deeper questions, exploring the why behind the things we experience, and looking at different topics through both a biblical and philosophical lens.
This isn’t the same podcast it was two years ago—because I’m not the same person I was two years ago.
