‘That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet’ -Shakespeare. Bridal Couture company JLM Couture has sued one of its most popular designers, Hayley Paige, for ownership of her name and her social media accounts including TikTok, Instagram, and Pinterest. Shortly after the complaint was filed in this case JLM Couture asked for a preliminary injunction and while this is pending the court granted a temporary order and gave JLM Couture control over Hayley Paige’s social accounts. She is arguing that they are personal accounts, the company argues they are intellectual property owned by them. I can’t wait to hear what you think.
