*Update As of Tuesday February 6th 2022 my friend Jerry Kohout passed away from Covid Pneumonia. He fought hard but ultimately it was too much. I found out unexpectedly. Jerry and I kept in touch over the past six months off and on. I was aware he was battling covid but I honestly believed he would pull through. He was a huge supporter and believed what I was doing with this podcast was important. Jerry was a huge inspiration to me, unfortunately I didn't realize that until it was too late. I miss my friend. I miss Jerry and his ability to pay no mind to any negative vibe and role with the love and positive feels that kept him going. His story is one of redemption as a friend told me and I can't help but feel that's how I want to remember Jerry. He redeemed himself and I hope he is safe and at peace.
I love you Brother.*
This week Felix catches up with an old friend from work, Jerry Kohout. With life putting all of us through our fair share of lessons and tribulations Jerry opens up about his past drug and alcohol problems and how a decision to drive home under the influence changed his life forever. With nothing to hide and all questions on the table Felix and Jerry talk about his accountability, family, prison, AA, remorse and how being able to forgive himself put him on a path to finally grow. Please take some time to truly listen and hopefully share. Everyone has story. This is Jerry's. If you or someone you know needs help with alcohol or drugs here are some helpful links and numbers.
