WOMENS HISTORY MONTH continues. This week I chat with Norma Vazquez.
Norma knowsย what it is like to be a first time mom and not have the support needed to learn and understand breastfeeding. With minority women reporting lower breastfeeding rates than white women it slowly became apparent to Norma that the gap caused by lack of resources and education could be fixed and she had the passion to do it. She talks about her experience as a lactation consultant and deciding to start her own business, Mamรฅ La Lechera, to help BIPOC mothers with a safe platform for them to learn and share their breastfeeding journeys. Norma is a Latina making boss moves. Enjoy this great interview!
