This episode came together after I kept seeing the same rumors floating around online about John West.
See the video here : https://youtu.be/kNO-RmNPvoI
People were saying he was behind lawsuits, others were bringing up the recall, and I realized I didn’t have an answer because I hadn’t been following it at the time. So I started digging into it myself and went directly to the sources. In this episode I go through what actually led to the recall, and what’s happened since. That includes the lawsuits, the ethics complaints people have talked about, and a flyer I came across. The goal here is simple. Lay out what’s documented, separate fact from rumor, and give you something solid to work with so you can decide for yourself. If you’re in Josephine County or just want a clearer picture of what’s been going on locally, this one’s worth a listen.

From April 19 through April 25, over 1,100 flags are being displayed at the courthouse. Each flag represents a crime victim from 2025. It is a strong visual showing the real impact crime has on individuals and families in our community.

No Tax Clawback
A push to reverse parts of Oregon’s recent tax policies that we believe take more from working families and businesses.
End the Death Tax
Oregon taxes estates when property is passed down to children. This effort aims to stop families from being taxed again on assets that were already taxed during their lifetime.
Kevin Mannix Crime Fighting Act
A proposed measure focused on public safety. It targets repeat offenders and looks to put an end to catch and release policies by strengthening consequences for criminal activity.
No Tolls in Oregon
Stops the expansion of tolls on bridges and highways across the state. Let Us Paddle Opposes new or expanded fees on non motorized water activities like paddleboards, kayaks, and even inner tubes.
