January 16, 2023Why some people don’t like their jobs (my favourite jobs and why)Hey guys today I will discuss why some people don’t like their jobs and why their jobs can be extremely stressful. What my favourite jobs were what my least favourite jobs were are what I will be talking about in this episode. Starting with the first thing they call work experience but I actually got paid for it for the longest time. So when I first started work experience in school my first thing I ever did was wash dishes at a restaurant called the honey pot which is located in a town called Wainwright, Alberta. Now for the most part it wasn’t too bad to start with but after a while I realized it just wasn’t the job for me cause I just ended up with a lot more stress than I intended to have in the first place. Then after I quit work experience there, I was offered to go Norris Ford in Wainwright but before my first day at Norris there was a silent auction and at the silent auction I scanned around the tables hoping to find something of interest. So I went up and down the rows of tables and didn’t really find anything of interest until one moment where they put a green Norris Ford coat on the table. And let me tell you I kept my eyes on that coat like a hawk. So I was still living with my mom at the time and she was there with me and some of my brothers and sisters. And guess what? My auntie Gwen started the bidding for that coat and what I didn’t realize at the time is that she was bidding on it for me as a grad gift. But I’d been eyeing up that coat since it was put there for silent auction and I was not letting her win. Because I thought she would give it to one of her kids. But little did I know she had a plan for that coat the whole entire time and I had no clue what she was up to so I did everything I could to bid against her and win that Norris Ford coat I had to win it if I wanted to promote the brand while doing work experience there for a possibility of increasing my chances of working at the Norris Ford dealership. So the bidding went on and on, multiple people were bidding on it was around 6 people that were bidding on it. She battles back and forth for that coat and all I’m hoping was please don’t win that or I won’t get that coat that I’d been eyeing up for around an hour and a half. Then the final bids came and my other family members wouldn’t bid any higher. So eventually my Auntie Gwen won the coat and little did I know by the end of it she ended up saying “Joey here’s your grad gift, you had people bidding against me, why did you do that?” And my response was “I just wanted to get that coat bad enough and I thought you would’ve gave it to someone else so that’s why I had people bid against you.” She said “fair enough.”...more18minPlay
December 19, 2022Reason behind my boulder shoulders and bulking cleanlyHey guys today is episode 7 and I am talking about my reasoning behind clean bulking instead of dirty bulking and why I always choose clean against dirty bulking.So the reason why I clean bulk instead of dirty bulking is because if you clean bulk you gain more muscle and less fat in the process of your bulking journey no matter how long you train for. So the difference between clean bulking vs dirty bulking is simply the fact that you eat different amounts of food and types of foods. For example if you dirty bulk you eat however much and whatever you want in order to see the scale jump, in a clean bulk it’s a lot more strict for the types of food you can eat. Dirty bulking entails eating anything you see or is put in front of you to see gainz. So that means cookies, pizzas, burgers, ice cream, or anything considered unhealthy. So with that being said you gain a lot of fat compared to muscle, which we all know how that looks compared to a lean bulked build vs a higher body fat bulked build. And if you don’t know the difference if you’ve never seen the difference and want to know the difference look up pictures so you can tell the difference. But my number one tip is clean bulk and train hard because you will gain more muscle and have less noticeable fat that is visible. Which in my opinion is always the way to go cause after you go through a cut you look way more shredded and less likely to have people to say the negative things about you and I think most people would rather have nice, positive things said about them because it makes them feel better about themselves for a while. And who wouldn’t want to be complimented instead of insulted about their impressive physique. I’d rather be complimented about a impressive physique because it helps you have a positive mindset even on the days you look in the mirror and the thoughts of negativity try and drag you down. That’s what the best thing is about bulking and the reason why so many of my best friends wanted my to rebuild my boulder shoulder because of how huge they were. But the weird thing was majority of the shoulder muscle was front shoulder and my rear shoulder should have been trained more because of the size difference now I train both front and rear shoulders equally as hard. But the only downside people say that is what people have different opinions are. Everyone has a different mindset on how they want to achieve that weight or goal they have set for themselves and that’s never a bad thing, and it’s a good thing a lot of the time depending on what you find yourself working towards because everyone has a different mindset than the next person. And they what makes one person different for every other person in the whole world. Because if everyone was the same there would be no change in daily life that’s why everyone is different in so many possible ways and situations. That’s what sets us apart from one another. Everyone has a different and unique goal set in mind. Everyone has has a different name everyone has a plethora of different types of things that they are good at. And the have a multitude of different types of things they are bad/need to work on and that’s okay. December 15, 2022How to save money for your retirement in the distant future. How it will help you in the time later.So todays episode entails how I planned to save for retirement and how beneficial it is to start saving for retirement early in life rather than late. I cover all the ways I found is best for saving for retirement and how all the money you save up adds up big time down the road. You will be glad you started saving for retirement early it’s the best idea that the bank ever told me. The amount of money you will have saved for retirement varies greatly on how much you make how you are paid and what your boss is paying you. Because if your boss pays your $13 an hour vs $30 an hour it makes all the difference but also depends if your working part time or full time. It can also can depend the amount of hours you work a day or if you end up working overtime hours or a night shift. Working too many hours though can cause your internal clock to play tricks on you causing you to wake up at random times during the night or day depending on if you work a night shift/day shift or both. Working too many hours and not worrying about time off can cause people to get tired of their jobs. It can also lead to lots of stress from too much work because your brain is working overtime and sometimes it’s not the best thing for you but it can be good for your future savings. Like when you get to the point when you want to retire, some people choose to retire early and some people work until they are in their 70’s but usually if your in your 70s still working your in gold enough shape to be able to work at that age. Everyone is different in the way they approach retirement and that’s okay because everyone likes to do things differently. That’s why everyone is unique, we look unique, we feel unique and we act unique that’s what makes us so special. It’s not always about how much money we can spend in a matter of days, weekends, weeks months, or years it’s about having that money down the road to be able to use it for what we are passionate towards. For example if I wanted to build a shop when I was at the age I wanted to retire that’s what the saving for retirement is for so I can build that shop with the money I worked hard for that’s what this podcast is all about. So we can start out and become even more successful when it’s time for us to quit working so we can enjoy the rest of our lives with the people and passions we enjoy. That’s why it’s so important for us to save as much as we can before we retire because the more we save for retirement the more we can buy and enjoy the things we buy because it’s the best idea to be able to enjoy the things we have with our hard earned money that’s exactly why I have chose this topic although the podcast isn’t that long it doesn’t have to be long because none of them have to be long it can just be short and simple. It can also be so long that it drags on and that’s not ideal. What is best is to have just the right length to make sure you get the most out of the podcast because who doesn’t want to get great information about great ideas everyday has to offer? I’d sure like to get the great ideas that everyone and everyday has to offer that’s for sure. That’s the point in most of the things in life is to get as much out of anything we can. Like we can learn a new skill or way to do something different than anything we have ever done before. That’s what makes life so great. It’s all about getting far enough to be able to succeed in life. That’s my favourite thing about what life skills teach you is that no matter what happens in life there will always be something new, unique or different ways to deal with anything life ends up throwing at you. And that’s the whole point in saving your valuable hard earned money you worked your tail off in order to become successful for retirement. December 13, 2022My description of this podcast entails everything I know about hunting in the different situations.So I thought I’d share everything with you guys that you need to know in order to be successful with the rifle calibres that work for every situation. This podcast is a in-depth podcast for people that need to know anything for hunting small game. It also covers varmint hunting (Coyotes, beavers, muskrat, and if you consider gophers as a varmint. I think the term small game and varmint are interchangeable depending on everyone’s opinions. I also cover the light kickers which is considered Antelope, Whitetail Deer and Mule Deer. I also cover the calibers that are recommended for big game. I thought I’d include heavy dangerous North American game. Which we called moose in this episode. Some probably could’ve thought the calibers may overkill but I use whatever caliber will take down the animal I’m looking at getting a clean kill shot. Although sometimes we don’t get that kill shot we are looking for. But it’s not the end of the world if we don’t get it it’s just preferred so that the animal doesn’t suffer for long periods of time after being wounded by a bullet out of the muzzle upon impact. Because it’s not a good thing to the animal or the hunter. It’s one of the worst things that could’ve ever happened that’s why proper shot placement is key to our passion for being a successful hunter. And it’s the proper execution of jobs and skills is key to our success. That’s why we get down and depressed or stressed out or mad about things we don’t get right. But that’s where the practice comes in. I’ve heard tons of people in my life say “practice makes perfect”. You know what? They aren’t wrong one bit about that, that’s what makes successful in daily life is the idea of how we can always improve with tips and tricks that we learn throughout our entire life. Everyone is different in the way they approach each and every task. It really comes down to two things the thought of “I can do this” and through ignoring the haters who say you can’t because you can’t let them effect you because it will cause self doubt to the point you…you find yourself frantically spiralling out of control to the point that you just don’t wanna do anything cause you feel like you don’t have a purposeful mindset in the way you can do anything that’s even meaningful or worthwhile. But that’s the point something that means a lot to you has to be worthwhile. Otherwise it is something doesn’t mean anything at all to you that will cause you to give up too easy that’s why there’s challenges everyday. Those challenges test our mental strength and weaknesses. That’s why there is challenges daily for us be changed in position and change our way of thinking. December 13, 2022Do what ever you can to do better in life make yourself better in the proper mindset it will help u.Anything is possible with the right mindset destruction of yourself is only possible if you allow yourself to break under pressure. I think of it like a air hose too much pressure can cause problems like breaking. And it’s not only air hoses that break there is a multitude of so many possible things in the world that can be problematic in any given situation but there is a time and place for anything that could ever have the chance to happen to happen. Sometimes we have to take any possible chance we get to change rhe things we can’t control and no matter how bad we want to change all the things to happen sometimes it’s just better for those things to happen cause they can cause us to learn in so many puzzling, positive, negative ways that no one could ever even think was physically possible. So hopefully you guys enjoy every episode and if you do enjoy the episodes make sure to let me know I’d be happy to hear what your thoughts are and if you want me to cover certain things on the podcasts I am very open to any ideas that you could possibly have. If I have had experience with topics you guys want covered I will cover them if not I will likely do research on the topic and then maybe I’ll do my best to describe the situation or topic when you want me to. It’s okay to ask about past relationships or things that are considered senseless topics I will cover what I can to keep the listeners interested in listening to more and more episodes. I don’t know how many seasons I will do or how many episodes per season I will do but I will figure out as I go. I can also talk about my hockey career if you guys want or if you guys wanna know how to do certain things I can try my best to explain in the podcasts. Any ideas for what you guys want addressed for the podcasts I will do whatever I can. So hopefully I can get better and better and be successful at my podcasts but I will see how it goes and I think it’s going awesome considering I just dropped my first trailer and episode today. But any situations you need covered I can try and explain it in the best way possible and do what I can to help you guys out. I will do Q&A a few times here and there anytime you guys want a Q&A I will try my best to answer the questions with answers to the best of my ability. Have the ability to do better in anything you want to be or be better at. Like any possible thing you could ever even think getting better at. It will make you stronger mentally and emotionally it will help in so many ways that you couldn’t even imagine or put into words. Like I know that this could sound weird but it will blow your mind. December 13, 2022#1 Gym tips that have helped me have the motivation in the gym.This is everything I have learned to keep pushing myself even if I feel like I don’t want to. You gotta fight the negativity in your head. Because if you don’t you feel happy in the gym and you won’t feel inspired to be a better version of yourself. You can be that better version of yourself, you just have to believe you can beat your minds negative thoughts because you can’t succeed if you don’t try and do what you think is best for yourself. If you enjoy the gym, go to the gym especially if your very a passionate person about the gym. Nothing makes a person better than something they are passionate about. That’s the best thing to do in my opinion, because you will find joy in that passion and out of that passion to do better everyday gems blossom. Your not going to feel your best everyday. But those days you do feel your best you gotta make the most out of those days. The days you don’t feel your best you don’t have to do a lot , just do enough to feel that sense of accomplishment. You’ll be proud of yourself when you look back on those days of how you pushed through the tough days. That’s what you want later in life is to look back at your past and remind yourself that your the person that had enough mental toughness to push through all the crashing things around you and how you did what you had to do. And look back at the thought of “wow I was one heck of a beast”. But then you’ll realize in your years when you retire of how you pushed through all the difficulties you ever faced in your life. And you will be proud of how much you went through with the amount of situations you were put through. And how you look back on it will be more of a positive way to look at it when you had the positive mindset instead of the negative mindset. You will say “I can’t believe that I went through all that and am still alive and standing. And everyone in your family and friends group will be proud of you for doing good instead of letting the negative people and negative things in your life that you really would think it could get you. But it didn’t because you wouldn’t let get to you and you’ll be happy you didn’t because if it weren’t challenged in life that wouldn’t be life. Life has it’s ups and downs, positive things and negative things. You gotta learn to balance all the positive things and negative things cause if you don’t it will cause you to fail. And that’s what the bad people want in life is they want to see you failing. But failing is okay, if you never failed you never learned something that would teach you if you fail is one of the best things in my opinion. But everyone is different and that’s what makes us unique and proud of who we are. People think that with having certain things like anxiety and depression is the worst thing in the world but, let me tell you something we all go through things like excessive worrying and negative things and feelings. If we didn’t have those things that wouldn’t be life… that wouldn’t be life my friend. And those challenges in our lives always have a reason. People say that “they never have a reason”. But I know so many people that tell me that “Everything happens for a reason “. Because everything does happen for a reason that’s just always how life will be. If things didn’t have a reason then, what’s the point? We gotta have the motivation as much as possible because that will lead us to more successful in daily life. Routines are the best thing that I find to have in a day because if we don’t have a routine we will always be going up and down. That being said it will lead to worse consistently and negative thinking. So if we make the most out of our day that’s the best thing to do because your day will be better overall. That’s why I am so passionate about the gym and bulking is because it makes me feel great to look good and I like the idea of doing better.
