Chapter 1:

-The storm that doesn’t end.  Atlantic Canada is getting pounded with wintery weather that is leaving lots of people without power.  In Vancouver we are sitting at positive degrees and feeling pretty lucky.

-Is Donald Trump unfit to be the President of the United States?  Jon McComb shares his opinions about the US President and what he feels are the indicators that show signs that he is unravelling.  The 25th Amendment has been brought up more than once in preview months so could we see the President get the boot before the election in 2020?

-The premier of Ontario is accusing the children of Tim Hortons' billionaire co-founder of bullying their employees by reducing their benefits in response to the province's increased minimum wage. Premier Kathleen Wynne says she is shocked by the move.

-Team Canada is off to the gold medal round at the IIHF! They crushed the Czech team 7-2 last night. Sweden knocked Team USA out of the tournament, meaning Canada and Sweden will meet tonight to compete for gold in Buffalo.

-There is a minimum wage backlash in Ontario after it went up to $14 and it has people in BC wondering if similar events could happen here as we move to a $15-an-hour minimum wage.  The Province newspaper's Michael Smyth is here with his take on the day's headlines.

-Trump has hit back on Twitter, saying Wolff was given zero access to the White House, said he never spoke to him for the book, and it’s full of lies. Wolff spoke to Today show’s Savannah Guthrie, in his first interview since the book’s release.

-It’s 2018 and there is some talk about a possible price drop in the housing market in Vancouver this year.  We take a look at whether a downturn in the market is possible this year or if things will continue the way they are.  And Jon and his guest get into the issues of overseas money and if there will ever be a way to slow down or stop the foreign investment.

-This past week, a YouTube star became even more famous for all the wrong reasons. 22-year old Logan Paul posted a video online to his 15-million subscribers that showed the body of a real suicide victim. He was harshly criticized for posting the video and for making jokes during the gruesome discovery. Amidst the controversy, Paul has said he will be taking a break from the spotlight and issued this apology.  So who are these YouTube celebrities that kids seem to idolize and how are they influencing children today?

Streaming Music services are on a rise but an old technology is making a bit of a comeback.  Vinyl sales are proving strong as some artists release their albums to put on the turntable.

Vancouver has been hit with the King Tides and they are set to stick around until January 7th. King tides come in higher than regular tides making some experts look at the future of sea levels and what they could look like.
