Welcome back to another episode! As some of you know, I am a huge book nerd. My latest purchase is Mel Robbins’ new book, “The High 5 Habit”. A mixture of self-development, motivation, and even a little biz talk. I love everything she teaches and have been hooked on this book ever since purchasing it! I give you a sneak peek of my favorite chapter so far and how it’s related to my life - maybe it relates to you! We also go into some of my favorite New Years Eve traditions and how they’ve helped me prepare for the new year ahead.

I say this every episode but THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for being here with me every week. It’s been quite a year and I’m so proud of the community we’ve built here. I look forward to continuing growing the show and growing up together! I wish you all a very happy and healthy new year!

Daisy is a Miami-born first generation Cuban American who decided to risk it all in 2020. Formerly a Financial Services Senior Consultant, she left the luxe jet-setting corporate career behind to pursue her dream of entrepreneurship and coaching. Daisy is a great example of when you take another route than the one you were told to take. As creatives we are very good at discarding our hard work and dedication to our craft. It takes a lot to do what we do. It takes so much of us - it takes energy, positivity, kindness, failure, perseverance, etc. In this episode we touch upon a few things such as the importance of being grateful for the accomplishments in our lives, the ones that have arrived, and the ones that are right around the corner. In honor of the Latin Grammys being tonight on Univision. I wanted to share my journey of writing Gloria Estefan’s Single Cuando Hay Amor which is part of her album, Brazil 305, nominated for a Latin Grammy tonight! I can’t believe I am saying that! In today’s episode I talk about my journey of starting out as an intern, to songwriting with Emilio, to now being a part of the Latin Grammy Nominated Album by Gloria Estefan. What my schedule was like. How I got the opportunity to write with him and his team. What the songwriting process was like for writing the single. How he let me know Gloria was going to be adding it to her new project, Brazil 305. I tell all! I wanted to share this to inspire you all to not give up. I wrote this song with them in 2015… the song came out in 2020. It took 5 years for the world to hear it. You know what? It came out at the perfect time. The world had some very dark times in 2020. Cuando Hay Amor served as an anthem for love. More love. When there is love, all is well. Take this as an example that it’s okay to celebrate your wins. You should be proud of the things you’ve accomplished. Don’t let anyone take that away from you. No matter how big or small a win is, it’s still a win and it still something to celebrate. That is what this podcast is all about. Highlighting creatives journeys and sharing it with others so that we can all support, learn, and collaborate with one another.

Welcome back to another quick quote episode!

In this episode I talk about why I saved this quote. As a creative, I always think about how we get so overwhelmed about all that we want to share. All that we have to say. So much so that we often times forget about what’s right in front of us! You never know who could be sharing the same dreams and visions as you. Share! Be open! Be nice! Be fearless! The world is full of opportunities if you look for them. What you seek is what you find proof of. I say in this episode that I truly believe it’s all about finding the little things in your everyday that can add up to something magical. 

I have been inspired by Bobbi Brown’s story for quite some time now. I first came to know her because of her cosmetics line and then because of some podcast episodes she kept popping up on, which I kept listening to. Then, recently this quote came up on my Instagram feed and I saved it in my quotes folder I have proudly been keeping up. I stumbled upon it this week and thought it was perfect for today’s episode.

Now that my wifi problem is now solved, we are back with a new episode! 

It's no secret that I LOVE Madrid. If you follow me on Instagram then you know that I'm all about sharing my love for it. In today’s episode I decided to joint two blog posts ideas together and create one episode. A new city comes with a lot of excitement and ambitions! In this episode I share a few things: Why do I love Madrid? What are its special quirks? What is my favorite place to unwind? What is the energy like here? Something I noticed while creating this episode and writing out the blog that will correspond to it on my website, is that each point naturally flows into the other one. They all go hand in hand. Today’s guest is Kat Reinhert aka my voice teacher from UM! Kat is an accomplished educator, author, vocalist, songwriter and artist. As a solo artist, Kat has released 5 independent albums and sung on multiple projects and has recorded for noted artists. She is the former Director of Contemporary Voice at The University of Miami, and is a sought-after clinician, speaker and researcher. She has authored several book chapters and journal articles on contemporary voice and songwriting and is the current president of the Association for Popular Music Education. Ms. Reinhert currently resides in NYC where she is working on several music educational, business, consulting and writing projects. 

She really is so much more than voice teacher, you’re going to hear in this episode how attentive she is to her craft, not only as an educator, but to pretty much everything she has set her mind to. 

Never making her creativity the central focus of what she’s doing, she’s now risking it all to see what comes from it. Through everything she has never given up and has always asked "what’s next?" Let’s dive in!

Welcome back! I am coming to you - LIVE - from Madrid, Spain! Can't believe I'm actually here I've always wanted to make this move. I recently heard someone say, “I don't want someone to watch me on my journey, I want them to join me. I want to take them along with me on this journey. That's how I feel!
