      • # 207 Do You Struggle with Saying "No?" 10 Benefits of Creating and Practicing Healthy Boundaries!#

Today's Topic ⭐️ 10 benefits of Creating Healthy Boundaries in your Life.

From Simple Abundance by Sarah Ban Breathnache: October 7

         Learning to Create Boundaries.

"Speaking the language of “no” is a good place to start creating boundaries.  “No” can be a beautiful word, every bit as beautiful as “yes”……

Writers John Robbins and Ann Mortife declare.  “Whenever we deny our need to say ‘no’, our self-respect diminishes,” they tell us in ‘In Search of Balance: Discovering Harmony in a Changing World’.

“ It is not only our right at certain times to say ‘no’ to those old habits that dissipate our energy, ‘no’ to what robs us of our inner joy, ‘no’ to what distracts us from our purpose.

And, it is a gift to others to say ‘no’ when their expectations don’t ring true for us, for in so doing we free them to discover more fully the truth of their own path.  Saying ‘no’ can be liberating when it expresses our commitment to take a stand for what we believe we truly need.”

        1. Increased Time.

        2. Increased and Steady Flow Energy.

        3. Improved Health and Wellness.

        4. Better Financial Wellbeing.

        5. More Fulfilling Relationships

        6. Decreased Feelings of Resentment and/or Bitterness

        7. Increased Quality over Quantity in Relationships

        8. Increase in mental stability

        9. Increased Opportunities to grow spiritually.

        10. More Control Over Your Life in general.

            ⭐️ Today's Topic: Episode # 205

Is working with a coach a sign of weakness?

10 courageous things you can do to succeed while working with Cathy Jo Lang LLC.

Coaching clients that I’ve worked with and those that I work with now, are some of the most courageous people I know.  Sharing your hopes, dreams, challenges and struggles with a professional life coach can be daunting and bring a sense of vulnerability with it.

But, without being able to bring the details and the truth of your life to light, it is impossible to truly tend to personal, professional, spiritual, physical or financial needs.  In order to live a full and happy life, you need to do the work to get there.  And, when I say happy, I don’t mean in the materialistic way, or in a way that makes you feel popular and liked by others.  I mean in a way that provides you with the light, love and confidence to truly be yourself and to be able to share that light and love with others.

            1.  Be honest.

            2. Be open.

            3. Remember that changes can be big or small.  But small changes add up quickly.

            4. Don’t let perfectionism hold you back.

            5. Complete Coaching Call Prep Form whenever possible.

            6. Show up every other week no matter how you’re feeling.

            7. Take advantage of the accountability that comes with coaching.  It’s not always what you think.

            8. Be ready to hear what you are doing right.

            9. Engage and enjoy brainstorming with Cathy Jo Lang and let things fall where they may.

            10. Be realistic when choosing actions.  Not too big or too small.  Cathy Jo will help find the perfect balance!

                1.  Practicing my faith so when the opportunity arrises, I’m comfortable talking about it to others.

                3.  Accepting others for who they are and not trying to push my beliefs on them.

                4.  Being ready to share my faith and/or testimony for when opportunities arise.

                5.  Living out the faith with kindness, grace, forgiveness, hopefulness and joy, so others see Christ’s light in me.

                6. Learning to deal with attacks from the enemy in order to stay the course.  What doesn’t kill us makes us stronger.

⭐️ Today's Topic: Do You Hold Back On Sharing The Faith?  9 Things Excuses that hold me back from sharing my Catholic Christian Faith.

                  1. Lack of confidence in others: I don’t think that most people could handle the truth.

                  2. Laziness on my part: I don’t want to get into a challenging debate or conversation. It can be mentally and emotionally exhausting.

                  3. Idolatry: I am more concerned about pleasing others than what God is calling me to do.

                  4. Making Assumptions: People seem more concerned with money, travel, entertainment and keeping up with the Joneses.  I assume that they think that choosing to embrace their faith would interfere with their life and social status.

                  5. Discomfort: Fear of making others feel uncomfortable

                  6. Popularity: So many adults as well as children are preoccupied with being accepted and fitting in.  Engaging in the Christian faith is not popular in most circles.

                  7.  Fear of Change: As much as we want to share the Good News, I get comfortable with who the believers and who aren’t. I use the excuse that they are not interested.  But, sometimes I wonder if I want things to change.

                  8. Need for Acceptance: Although I am pretty open about my faith.  I hesitate to initiate this Conversation and rather wait for an open opportunity.

                  9. Lack of confidence in myself: Am I knowledgable enough and is my belief strong enough to properly convey and/or persuade others.

⭐️ Have you been struggling to stay positive, feel hopeful or receive support from those around you?  Here are brief thoughts and 4 scripture verses that I want to share.

Song: There will be Joy in the Morning: Click below to listen

                      https://youtu.be/uysGt7JVw9U?si=DkJ23QETF2l66-O-

I don’t know why you’re struggling or what you’re going through.

I want you to know that I’m sharing this with you in hope that it might help..

I don’t know how you’re feeling but, I know that feelings fluctuate and although we can’t depend on them, if we struggle with overwhelming feelings, we need to seek help.

Even though I do not know what you are going through doesn’t mean that I shouldn’t try to reach you.

I want to give you hope.

I want you to know that you are not alone.

I want you to know that you and your life matter.

You may not feel loved, valued or struggle to obtain what you think you truly need and deserve.  But, that doesn’t mean that you don’t deserve it or that you will never receive it.

It may be hard to see it.  But, this place in time will pass and things will change.  You will not be here forever.

It may be hard to be hopeful right now, but I truly believe that, “You are in the valley and your time to stand on the mountain will come.  It might be sooner than you think.  It might be around the corner”

If others aren’t giving you the attention you need, you have to seek and find it in some positive way for yourself.

Life is unfair and people can be very unkind.  They can be selfish, hurtful and unmerciful.  But, that doesn’t mean that you don’t deserve to be feel good, be good or do good.  You have a right to be happy and live a full and happy life.

Jesus loves you.  He died for you so that you wouldn’t have to be held captive to the sin of your past, or to the sin of this world.

Whatever it is that is keeping you down, I pray that you can start to let it go.  I pray that you are able to get the help you need.  If you’ve tried hundreds of times and feel discouraged, I beg you to keep trying.

Keep Fighting, even If you feel like your fight is gone, whisper and ask Jesus to save you.  Ask him to come to your rescue through the Holy Spirit.

                      Scripture verses:

Galations 6:9  Let us never grow weary in doing what is right, for if we do not give up, we will reap our harvest in due time.

Revelation 3:11  I am coming soon. Hold fast to what you already have so that no one may rob you of your crown.

                      Isaiah 41:10  Do not fear, for I am with you;

do not be afraid, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and give you help,
I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.”

Hebrews 12:1   Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses,[b] let us throw off everything that weighs us down and the sins that so easily distract us and with perseverance run the race that lies ahead of us,
