⭐️ Have you been struggling to stay positive, feel hopeful or receive support from those around you? Here are brief thoughts and 4 scripture verses that I want to share.
Song: There will be Joy in the Morning: Click below to listen
https://youtu.be/uysGt7JVw9U?si=DkJ23QETF2l66-O-
I don’t know why you’re struggling or what you’re going through.
I want you to know that I’m sharing this with you in hope that it might help..
I don’t know how you’re feeling but, I know that feelings fluctuate and although we can’t depend on them, if we struggle with overwhelming feelings, we need to seek help.
Even though I do not know what you are going through doesn’t mean that I shouldn’t try to reach you.
I want to give you hope.
I want you to know that you are not alone.
I want you to know that you and your life matter.
You may not feel loved, valued or struggle to obtain what you think you truly need and deserve. But, that doesn’t mean that you don’t deserve it or that you will never receive it.
It may be hard to see it. But, this place in time will pass and things will change. You will not be here forever.
It may be hard to be hopeful right now, but I truly believe that, “You are in the valley and your time to stand on the mountain will come. It might be sooner than you think. It might be around the corner”
If others aren’t giving you the attention you need, you have to seek and find it in some positive way for yourself.
Life is unfair and people can be very unkind. They can be selfish, hurtful and unmerciful. But, that doesn’t mean that you don’t deserve to be feel good, be good or do good. You have a right to be happy and live a full and happy life.
Jesus loves you. He died for you so that you wouldn’t have to be held captive to the sin of your past, or to the sin of this world.
Whatever it is that is keeping you down, I pray that you can start to let it go. I pray that you are able to get the help you need. If you’ve tried hundreds of times and feel discouraged, I beg you to keep trying.
Keep Fighting, even If you feel like your fight is gone, whisper and ask Jesus to save you. Ask him to come to your rescue through the Holy Spirit.
Scripture verses:
Galations 6:9 Let us never grow weary in doing what is right, for if we do not give up, we will reap our harvest in due time.
Revelation 3:11 I am coming soon. Hold fast to what you already have so that no one may rob you of your crown.
Isaiah 41:10 Do not fear, for I am with you;
Hebrews 12:1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses,[b] let us throw off everything that weighs us down and the sins that so easily distract us and with perseverance run the race that lies ahead of us,

⭐️ Today's Topic: What is Prayer and How do I do it? 5 Ways to Communicate with Father, Son and Holy Spirit:
Prayer is Communication with God.
The Holy Trinity consists of Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Think of I like this:
God as God the Father of all, Creator of the Universe and ultimate Authority;
Jesus Christ as the Son who came to earth , was Fully God and Fully Human
and chose do die on a cross for our sins;
Holy Spirit was sent to be with us after Jesus ascended into heaven.
He is often represented as a Dove or a burning flame and was sent to be our
advocate, protector, director and guide and to actively participate in our day to day lives.
1. Talk to God (and listen). Ex of short and simple: “I trust you Jesus.”
2. Say or Pray prewritten or memorized prayers.
3. Take time to be silent (with no distractions).
4. Use your work as an offering to God.
5. Journal to Father Son and Holy Spirit:
A. Thank him for all you have.
B. Verbalize where you’re at and what you’re dealing with.
C. Make your requests known.
D. Ask for direction by the Holy Spirit and wait for and record a response.
E. Finish with Thank you Jesus/ Amen/. Or I love you.

⭐️ Today's Topic: 15 Ways to find purpose in the Painful Experiences of Rejection.
1. Pray always in order to keep communication, direction and protection intact through the Holy Spirit.
2. Be open to unexpected opportunities in order learn, grow and ultimately to serve God.
3. Always pray and reflect before you commit.
4. Once you commit, do your best to keep up your end of the agreement. Be accountable, dependable and honest.
5. Be aware that when starting something new, you won’t really know what you’r getting yourself into until you start.
6. Be yourself
7. Do your best.
8. Remember that no matter how hard you try and how good you are, you may not be who or what a person or people need at a certain time.
9.Remind yourself that the opinion of one person or even a number of people is only their opinion.
Other people’s thoughts of you do not define or dictate who you are.
10. If or when things don’t work out, be open to, and look for the good that may have come from the situation. It could be something that benefits you, others, a common cause or God’s greater plan.
11. If you feel hurt or disappointed because things didn’t work out, allow yourself to feel your feelings.
12. Take time to care for yourself mentally, emotionally and spiritually through prayer, reflection and talking to a trusted friend.
13. Make a conscious effort to consider what you’ve learned from the experience.
14. Know that God and his plan for your life is much bigger than this one small experience.
15. Thank God for the opportunity and for whatever good came from this experience.

⭐️ Today's Topic: My Reflection on why practicing Catholicism is so valuable and needed in our world today.
1. When we make a regular practice of acknowledging and glorifying God as our creator, our life becomes more properly ordered.
2. When we routinely acknowledge Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross, we receive a real sense of what it means to give and receive unconditional love.
3. When we are reminded of our advocate of the Holy Spirit, we realize that we are never alone and we benefit from communing with him.
4. When we choose to live a life that Christ calls us to and become obedient to his plan, we experience true Freedom.
5. When we trust Jesus with every aspect of our life, in his mercy, grace and love, we become transformed and made new.
6. When we choose poverty over riches in order to live out God’s call on our lives, we truly experience and receive God’s provision in our life on a day to day basis.
7. When we consistently choose Jesus in the good times, he remains a strong foundation and provides for us through the hard times.
8. When we practice our Catholic Christian faith and apply it to our day to day life, we become a light to others in need.
9. When we are reminded of Jesus’ love and sacrifice for us while we were still sinners, we are better able to love those who hurt us.
10. When we practice sacraments such as Holy Eucharist and Reconciliation regularly, we become vessels of God’s love, meant to be poured out to and for others.

I believe in one God,
the Father almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all things visible and invisible.
I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ,
the Only Begotten Son of God,
born of the Father before all ages.
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father;
through him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation
he came down from heaven,
and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary,
and became man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate,
he suffered death and was buried,
and rose again on the third day
in accordance with the Scriptures.
He ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory
to judge the living and the dead
and his kingdom will have no end.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son,
who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified,
who has spoken through the prophets.
I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church.
I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins
and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead
and the life of the world to come. Amen.
9. Try to live by the 10 Commandments and church moral teachings.
Catholics follow a traditional order, largely influenced by St. Augustine’s teachings:

b. Attend Eucharistic adoration
c. Attend daily mass
d. Pray the Rosary

If this is you? You are in the right place. I want to encourage you to take time to explore your Catholic Christian Faith. I want to remind you that you are a loved, valued and an integral part of the Catholic Church Family founded by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. And, there is nothing he wants more than to welcome you home.
Hi, I am Cathy Jo Lang, daughter of The One True King. And, I am excited to welcome you to “The Unplanned Joyful Life” podcast. I am a practicing Catholic who recommitted to my Catholic Christian faith after experiencing a mental health crisis over 30 years ago. I suffered a severe postpartum depression that required a 3 week hospitalization and caused me to be away from my newborn baby at a time that he needed me the most.
When recovering from the depression, I searched for any and all help to deal with the guilt, shame and condemnation this experience brought. And, in order to decrease my chances of going through another mental health crisis, I decided to search, understand and embrace my Catholic Christian Faith. And, it was there, that I experienced complete healing, wholeness and transformation, never to suffer a depression again.
Through our Catholic faith, Jesus became the firm foundation on which my husband, Steve and I were able to build a beautiful family, full of love, life and purpose for our children and grandchildren.
And, although I would like to say to that we never experienced a trial or tribulation since. In 2019, we suffered the tragic lost our beautiful son Michael Robert at the age of 26. Michael suffered from a rare and chronic health condition without a sufficient medical diagnosis. This illness caused him chronic pain, fatigue, and isolation amongst many other symptoms, too many to mention. And, although his passing was devastating, we were able to receive God's healing, grace and provision through the mourning and grief we suffered as a family.
I never thought I could get through the loss of a child. And, I don't wish that hardship on anyone. But, because of our Catholic Christian Faith, Steve, myself and our other two children, Stephen and Elizabeth were able to lean on, trust in and practice the one true faith, Catholicism. And, although it took the love, provision and healing power of God, as well as the support of our family and friends, we were able to experience peace, hope and love in the midst of tragedy. We know that Michael is with Jesus. And, we look forward to the day that we will meet and embrace him again in our Heavenly Home.
