One of the biggest summer JRPG games has a release date: Scarlet Nexus is coming out worldwide on June 25, 2021. Japan gets it one day early. It also got 17 minutes of new gameplay and a newly announced anime adaptation. We have all sorts of Final Fantasy news from VIII Remastered, XIV, VII Remake Intergrade, and even FFX crossovers to War of the Visions. There were 3 wonderful behind the scenes videos for Fantasion. And we finally have a release date for SMT III in the west. But its all not good news. I'll give my thoughts. Plus my plans for the summer! Thanks for listening my friends.

A recent interview with Final Fantasy VII Remake co director Tetsuya Nomura shed some light on the future of DLC for the game. I'll go over his statements and let you know what I think it means going forward. He also gave many details about Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core. I'll let you know everything he said and what it means. I also started Dragon Quest II on Switch this week. Is it just a mobile port or a faithful recreation of the original? I have a few other fun stories to discuss that I hope you enjoy. Thanks for listening!

Falcom had a big celebration for its 40th anniversary. During the livestream they showed off The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki to the world. Two videos detailed the battle systems, which you can switch between freely, the characters, and the city Edith. I'll explain everything we know about this amazing looking and playing game. Tales of Festival showed Tales of Arise in video form as well, but we didn't see anything new. Nor did we learn much except more information is coming in the spring. Those two big stories dominate the podcast this week but I have some other fun things to discuss. Thanks for listening each and every week!

As promised here is another podcast (a very short one) covering all the news and events from yesterday's New Game Plus Expo. The big news of the day was Disgaea 6 and its June western release date. We finally have confirmation of Cold Steel IV's PC release date as well. A new other release date were announced but overall it was an average show. Most sadly was the lack of any Hajimari no Kiseki news...

It was a jam packed news week! Pokemon Direct announcement, Final Fantasy showing up at Sony's State of Play, and news about the next Legend of Heroes game. And that's just the big stuff. Today's New Game Plus Expo will get it's own podcast releasing tomorrow! In this podcast I detail what we know Kuro no Kiseki's two battle systems. I dive into all the Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade features plus the debut of Yuffie. We finally know what Ever Crisis is so I'll share that as well. Plus Dalton gives his fanboy Pokemon reaction to the new announcements of Pokemon Silver and Pearl remakes. If you have a listener reaction for the podcast, send it in (clean please). And we always love to hear listener reviews as well for any JRPG. Tune in tomorrow for another new podcast! And as always thanks for listening.

The latest Nintendo Direct managed to both impress and disappoint at the same time. There were a ton of games crammed into the nearly hour long presentation, some we haven't seen before. But it was the absence of Shin Megami Tensei V that left fans scratching their heads, including ours. We break down every JRPG shown and even give some thoughts on the other games. Plus all the other news of the week in this huge over an hour podcast. Many thank to Dalton for dropping by. Catch me on his podcast, The Steam Machine Podcast, this weekend for our thoughts on Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age.

This week saw the reveal of the newest expansion to the Final Fantasy XIV universe: Endwalker. It also showed the future with a revamped version coming to PS5. The game continues to evolve with the times and has a bright future ahead. We have a date for this year's New Game Plus Expo: March 4. Expect some JRPG news to come from this event. Hopefully. A few other stories, I talk hype about Persona 5 Strikers and Bravely Default II, and the Big in Japan Sale is underway on PSN. In late breaking news, Kingdom Hearts is coming to PC! All the games will be available exclusively on the Epic Games Store in March.

*Do not listen to this podcast if you haven't beaten the game. We will talk about it all!*

I finally beat The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV a few weeks ago. So that means its spoilercast time! Jake waited patiently for us to talk and boy do we talk. So much so that we had to break it up into two parts. This episode covers everything after Eventide: Act 3, final dungeon, both endings, and what the final scenes mean overall and moving forward. If you have questions about all the insanity that went on, chances are we cover it.
