We spent today’s episode answering all of YOUR questions and it was FIRE! 🔥 Questions ranged from, do we need to be taking apple cider vinegar every morning to should we be exercising fasted? SO much info was packed into these 30 mins, I highly suggest taking a minute to tune in!
“Learn to count chemicals not calories!”
The topic of today’s show was all about processed foods! An average American’s diet consists of over 50% processed food! And considering that industry designs their food to be cheap, convenient and addicting, that’s not surprising.
Not only did Dr. Mike break down the different types of processed foods, he also explained what types of things we should be looking for, as not all processed foods need to labeled as “bad.”
This morning I asked Dr. Mike if we could switch things up last minute and talk about managing stress because to keep it 💯 I am NOT managing right now.
I think this might have been our best discussion to date. Maybe it’s because I really needed some advice & guidance right now or maybe it’s because Dr. Mike was just on 🔥 (as usual). But either way, I highly suggest tuning into this episode if you are finding yourself stressed to the max and needing new ways to chilllllll out and take care of yourself. 🖤
On today’s episode @mikerousselldiscussed all the ways he upgrades everyday meals to make that more nutritious! Like adding protein powder to his peanut butter and jelly sandwiches or replacing mayo w/ plain Greek yogurt!

Today’s episode might have been our best one yet! 🔥
We started w/ a discussion around the Paleo diet and wound up diving more into human behavior and our desire to stick within confined boundaries. The mic 🎤 was dropped when @mikeroussell said, “you don’t get bonus points for sticking to ‘the plan’ and not nourishing yourself.”
✅ Our goal for the next two weeks is to take a look at our lives and question a few things...
— What are we doing because we THINK we should be?
Whether it’s a diet, a habit or just some routine thing you always do, question it! Is it actually helping you or are you doing it just because you think you should?
It’s not just food that nourishes us. It’s relationships, habits, experience and SO much more. Just as Dr. Mike mentioned, we don’t get bonus points in life for sticking to anything because we think we should, especially when that thing is not longer (or never was!) nourishing us.
This has been a requested topic for quite some time so I was pumped to dive into it today w/ @mikeroussell 🙌 This is a must watch for anyone that’s curious about what IF is and if it’s right for you!

On today’s episode we discussed all things vegan! 🌱 Every episode I learn from @mikeroussell but this specific quote today hit me hard! It’s SO important to ask ourselves this question when we are thinking about participating in any type of food restrictions...

“Are you following a vegan diet because you think it will make you healthier or do you really just need to add more vegetables into your meals?”

That question is true for SO many things! Ask yourself why you are putting restrictions on the foods you eat and see if maybe there’s another way to go about it.
And just FYI, I’m NOT against veganism! I’m all for anything anybody wants to do BUT I’m always going to question someone’s WHY behind it (just the same that I question myself on a daily basis!).
Side note, if you are vegan and looking for a vegan protein powder, you have to try @getvitahustle vanilla! They have 🍫 too but the vanilla mixed with their reds & greens powder tastes like a 🍓 shake!! SO good!
